I recently had a problem as an executor of my aunts will. There was a structural problem with her bungalow and Aviva just said.. we don't cover that and didn't even offer to come and look at the problem ! I will never use them again. Reviewed on: 29th August 2016

Very Speedy & helpful response!

I sent in a claim via Aviva's website and included some photos of a carpet that had been damaged on our stairs (due to my Daughters very speedy arrival!). I received a telephone call within 1-2 hours to confirm details and fill me in on the next stage of the process. An independent inspector called a couple of days later as promised after the weekend. They were very helpful and gave me a time slot to visit my address that was convenient to me, and fitted in with school runs etc. The assessor arrived, I picked out a sample from a few that I had been provided with and then paid my excess. I was contacted a couple of days later by a local carpet fitting company and we arranged a date for them to attend. Overall I am very happy with the service that I received from start to end. Every person that I came into contact with was very polite and helpful, and more than willing to answer any questions that I had. I also felt like I knew what was happening every step of the way. I would definitely recommend Aviva & have renewed my insurance for another year with them. Reviewed on: 16th August 2016

Flood damage settled in days.

I had only switched to Aviva a week before I had a burst pipe in my bathroom and needed a new ceiling, bathroom floor and the new pipework. They sent an assessor around the next day, after 2 quotes were emailed, the cheque was in the post within 5 days. Amazing service. Reviewed on: 15th August 2016
