Aviva Signature home insurance replaces damaged items with new ones, or pays for them to be restored, repaired or replaced. Damage due to wear and tear or breakdowns is not covered. Accidental damage is an optional cover.

I own a house yet I no longer live in it but it's not rented out either. Family lives there rent free. Was rather concerned I would be treated like a landlord and have to pay hundreds of pounds for insurance, Aviva didn't make me feel stupid at all trying to explain this and the cost was less than a hundred quid. I always go with Aviva, their products are second to none. I like to continue with them every year but as you know the premium always goes up even though I didn't claim anything so the best thing to do is change company to get the best price by using cash back website. But I make sure that that I am always back to Aviva the following year. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

I am not insured with Aviva but they owe me money following an accident where my daughter was the 3rd party. They agree to the debt but simply don't pay and don't respond. They haven't paid up in over a year. Their customer service people send lovely simpering emails and redirect me to Claims - who simply don't respond. A company which couldn't care less about anything or anyone but their money. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

I'm glad I decided to give Aviva a chance, they ended up giving me some really cheap quotes and saving me a lot of money on my home insurance. The staff I spoke to on the phone were also really nice and very helpful so I can't complain at all. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015
