Aviva Signature home insurance replaces damaged items with new ones, or pays for them to be restored, repaired or replaced. Damage due to wear and tear or breakdowns is not covered. Accidental damage is an optional cover.

Bas Advice Given

Has home insurance with them and my laptop got knocked off the kitchen table onto the hard floor. I contacted them and the person I spoke too stated that I didn't have the laptop insured for outside the home, I stated it wasn't outside the home when the accident happened, but he said I couldn't claim. I called them the next day to query the previous call as I was angry and stated the same issue that I had and they stated that it was covered in the home!!! Never take their word as final as I knew I was covered. Reviewed on: 12th September 2016

New home, new insurance

I am coming up to year 2 of my new home, and I am looking to renew my insurance. aviva are basically offering the same for less which is great as its a great product aleady!! Reviewed on: 11th September 2016

Home insurance

I performed the majority of my quote online however received a message to call the company due to a page error. The person I spoke to was knowledgeable and quickly solved my issue. Emails were promptly received with all of the policy details correctly attached. A good experience compared to other companies I have used. I would definitely consider using again, subject of course to price. Reviewed on: 4th September 2016

Not Interested

I recently had a problem as an executor of my aunts will. There was a structural problem with her bungalow and Aviva just said.. we don't cover that and didn't even offer to come and look at the problem ! I will never use them again. Reviewed on: 29th August 2016

Very Speedy & helpful response!

I sent in a claim via Aviva's website and included some photos of a carpet that had been damaged on our stairs (due to my Daughters very speedy arrival!). I received a telephone call within 1-2 hours to confirm details and fill me in on the next stage of the process. An independent inspector called a couple of days later as promised after the weekend. They were very helpful and gave me a time slot to visit my address that was convenient to me, and fitted in with school runs etc. The assessor arrived, I picked out a sample from a few that I had been provided with and then paid my excess. I was contacted a couple of days later by a local carpet fitting company and we arranged a date for them to attend. Overall I am very happy with the service that I received from start to end. Every person that I came into contact with was very polite and helpful, and more than willing to answer any questions that I had. I also felt like I knew what was happening every step of the way. I would definitely recommend Aviva & have renewed my insurance for another year with them. Reviewed on: 16th August 2016
