I've never had to make a claim, but it's reasonable

Got contents insurance as a renter with the litigation/legal insurance too. The terms are reasonable for the price, and it's super easy to get a quote. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Uncaring and Uncooperative

1
The only thing that Aviva seems to be good at is bullying people into retracting their complaints. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

No complaints whatsoever

We've had home insurance (contents and buildings) with Aviva for the last few years. We always search comparison sites to see if a better deal exists but our renewal quote is always very competitive and so we stay with Aviva. The service we've received is good : communications are timely and clear. We'd be quite happy to have all our insurances with Aviva and I don't think we can say fairer than that! Great building and contents insurance provider

Great cover for a reasonable price. They undercut my previous provider by 40% for the same cover. Almost purely online, but friendly support from humans when needed! Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Does what it needs

Does what it needs to. Simple to set up. Never had to make a claim. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023

Great cover at a fair price

Unlike some insurers, I've been with Aviva now for 5+ years and they haven't taken advantage of my being loyal and upping the price. They even suggest you check to see if you can get it cheaper. But the cover is excellent, easy to understand and competitive. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023

Good cover low prices

Has beaten other companies on cover and pricing for years. Reviewed on: 28th July 2023

Customers are not valued

1
In my rush to get to the bathroom to stop my bath from over flowing, I tripped on my network cable and pulled my laptop off the side. When I returned it would not power on. I planned to get it repaired myself, so I took it to Volt UK who assessed my laptop. It turned out that my on board GPU was faulty, and meant the motherboard needed replacing. They quoted me just shy of £800 for the repair. (Alot more than I expected.) So I turned to my contents insurance (Aviva) for help. They passed the claim to a company called Be Valued. They informed me they would need to collect my laptop, assess it and then destroy my laptop. This wasn't acceptable to me as I use this laptop to store data relating to my dog walking customers. It also contains after market parts and sentimental data such as family pictures. Be Valued agreed to use an itemised invoice from Volt UK, which I got for them. Then they changed their mind and told me they still wanted the laptop and still planned to destroy it. This hole ordeal has taken almost 2 months just to arrive back at square one. I definitely do not feel valued by Be Valued, or by Aviva. I will not be renewing with Aviva, and I will be moving my pension to another company. Reviewed on: 26th July 2023

CANNOT GET THROUGH BY PHONE

BEWARE - may seem like a good price but just hope that you don't need to contact them as it's impossible to get through by phone. You have to pay for the calls you make - the line connects and then you are just left hanging listening to music while you are paying for the privilige. No indication given of where you are in the queue. Instead they tell you to contact them by email. There is no live chat. It takes them 2 days to respond each time to the email. Try having a conversation this way! I've been trying to query my 30% proce increase on renewal and make changes prior to renewing my home insurance for over a week now - waiting days each time between emails and still not getting direct answers to direct questions - ludicrous. I'll take my business elsewhere - to a company with people that can pick up a phone and speak to customers. Reviewed on: 21st July 2023

Useless way

Some staff misinform need training what the product , management doesnt analyzed and thru review claims honestly in both side payee client is loss in dealing in insurance way why first they will push you with small.claim with deductible and the issue when you accept it even 100 dollar they gonna say we will increased your next .premium and if not you still continue paying your premium base on inflation rate plus NO CLAIM. Who.do.you think win in situation its all win solution...... Reviewed on: 3rd May 2023
