Aviva Signature home insurance replaces damaged items with new ones, or pays for them to be restored, repaired or replaced. Damage due to wear and tear or breakdowns is not covered. Accidental damage is an optional cover.

Absolutely useless and a waste of money

During a localised storm my elderly neighbours ridge tiles were blown off his roof. Despite written evidence from several neighbours and the roofer of the storm and damage they accrued due to it Aviva have refused to pay out because a weather station 17 miles away said the wind speeds were not sufficient to be called a storm. He contacted the ombudsman who despite all the evidence provided decided to agree with aviva. They are obviously hand in glove allegedly. How photos of the damage, reports from neighbours of similar damage and trees blown down does not constitute sufficient evidence is beyond belief. BEWARE OF USING THIS COMPANY. Terrible aviva home insurance

If could give no stars i would Happy to take my £120.00per month for home insurance but covers nothing according to aviva i needed electrician and there said didnt cover but i could buy more cover at £90 pound a month wich then would take my payments to £210 a month then last year i needed a roof leak fixing and aviva said i had to pay 3 roofers to come out wich was none refundable and there would make a dision to sort leak on my roof this company robs people blind i will find a better deal some where else at £10er a month instead of £120.00 there rob people and i would recomend people should avoid Reviewed on: 8th October 2023

Easy to buy and set up

Great Home Insurance Company

I am very happy with Aviva insurance - my premium went down rather than up this year, which was unusual and very welcome! I recently added a high-value item to my insurance, and found the process (which I was able to complete online) very straightforward. All round good provider, and very user-friendly! I've never had to make a claim, but it's reasonable

Got contents insurance as a renter with the litigation/legal insurance too. The terms are reasonable for the price, and it's super easy to get a quote. Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Uncaring and Uncooperative

No complaints whatsoever

We've had home insurance (contents and buildings) with Aviva for the last few years. We always search comparison sites to see if a better deal exists but our renewal quote is always very competitive and so we stay with Aviva. The service we've received is good : communications are timely and clear. We'd be quite happy to have all our insurances with Aviva and I don't think we can say fairer than that! Great building and contents insurance provider

Great cover for a reasonable price. They undercut my previous provider by 40% for the same cover. Almost purely online, but friendly support from humans when needed! Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Great cover at a fair price

Unlike some insurers, I've been with Aviva now for 5+ years and they haven't taken advantage of my being loyal and upping the price. They even suggest you check to see if you can get it cheaper. But the cover is excellent, easy to understand and competitive. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023
