Worst company to deal with. Please avoid!

They have sent me in circles and use nothing but condescending and deflective language to avoid helping or covering home warranty. There is an active leak in my roof, and they refuse to send a roofer or anyone to properly inspect so I had my own roofer come, who found an active leak, and Aviva had said they were sending a roofer last week but is now saying that the roofer I had come is to provide them with a report as they are too lazy and deflective to do anything at all. They have been a nightmare and I live in a three year old house that is supposed to be under warranty yet they are just leaving me hanging and do nothing but give me very unprofessional and inaccurate emails and phone calls. I don't do bad reviews but this is the worst experience and made worse by this terrible and unethical company. Reviewed on: 7th January 2023

Avoid at all costs, the worst insurance company I have ever had dealings with.

Avoid at all costs. My complaint to them regarding the handling of our claim was not upheld by Aviva. So I took my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and they upheld our complaint against Aviva and awarded us a financial award, FOS ref number DRN-3746603. Aviva has chosen to ignore the Ombudsman’s final decision and award that is legally binding in law. The Ombudsman has made repeated attempts to get Aviva to comply with their decision and Aviva has simply ignored them. We are now in the process of asking the Courts to issue a Court Enforcement Order, so that enforcement action can be taken against Aviva to recover the sum awarded to us. We have also reported this matter to the Financial Conduct Authority and this has still not prompted Aviva to settle this matter. If Aviva ignores the Government bodies and the laws put in place to regulate them, there is no hope for a customer who has a legitimate complaint against them. Aviva will simply respond to this review by stating that they will contact us to resolve this matter. However the Ombudsman has made repeated requests for Aviva to contact us and they have not, so you can draw your own conclusions from Aviva’s response to this. As stated above void at all costs Aviva, plus their online only service Quotemehappy.com as they do not comply with their own governing bodies. Reviewed on: 12th December 2022

I have a home insurance with Aviva which includes a very good value for money legal assistance for any matter not just home-related. Left in tears

Aviva make it VERY easy to open a policy and MAKE a payment but NOT so easy to CLAIM once you’re ceiling collapses!!! I am a pensioner with limited mobility and have been waiting weeks to take a bath or shower because Aviva say the quotes for the works are a bit high but have failed to send their own surveyor to assess the considerable damage. Instead they expect me to crawl up 3 flights of stairs to take even more photos so they can assess the damage. To make matters worse, the agent assigned to my claim told me it may take longer due to him having a cold and working from home. Not much consolation to my wife and I who still have NO hot water and NO help from the company who we’ve paid every month for years. I would urge anyone to shop around before using AVIVA. Can't fault Aviva at all. They were easy to contact through the app. Comms slowed down slightly but that was due to a storm so understandable. Paid out extremely promptly so I could get my damaged bathroom repaired. Reviewed on: 10th January 2022
