Good

Great if you want lots of letters upping your limit, but not if you just want to view your balance.

I ended up with a Barclaycard when they took over my original credit card company. When they first took over everything was great and all correspondence was paper based. When they moved over to online systems I ended up with almost weekly letters telling me I can have more and more credit with them, but getting logged into the system has been so far impossible. Their customer service staff have been less than helpful and as a result, I have no clue what my balance is and if I'm paying enough. I can't even pay it off. They are obviously so big that they don't value their customers anymore. Reviewed on: 10th May 2017

Easy and simple to use

I first applied for my Barclaycard when I began to look into purchasing my first home. As a young lady and first-time buyer one thing I was lacking was a credit score. From the get go, I was advised to build my credit score and one way in which this could be done was to get a credit card. I soon found myself looking online at the options available and discovered Barclaycard. I then applied for the card (which was an incredibly simple and easy process) and before I knew it I had been accepted. I then began using the card by making small purchases each month and paying off the balance in full. After around 9 months I had built up an excellent credit score and was offered a mortgage with a lender. Today I still use my Barclaycard as it comes in handy when I am a bit strapped for cash or my wages are a little late going in the bank. Another thing worth mentioning is that I initially had a couple of technical issues with the electronic mobile app. However, I simply rang up the team and they were more than happy to help thus the issue was resolved swiftly. I highly recommend Barclaycard, particularly for those looking to build their credit scores. Reviewed on: 30th April 2017

Barclaycard Brilliant

Best credit card I've ever had! Fine to use, easy to keep track of and happy to increase your credit limit online - decreasing it is just as easy online, which, for a financial company, is a bit of a miracle! Its almost always more difficult to decrease than increase but I have always found them to be really helpful. Their customer services are exceptionally easy to use and very friendly. Phoned up with a query on my account and the end result was a GoG (Gesture of Goodwill) refund to my card of £30 just as a thank you for talking to them! Result! Reviewed on: 30th April 2017

Great first credit card

Being new to credit and trying to build my credit rating was confusing. The staff are always extremely helpful and explained everything I needed to know. BAD STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS

Apart from the high fees they are fairly hard to get into contact with especially when something goes wrong ie unathorised transaction and they just end up blaming the card holder and ruining your credit Reviewed on: 5th April 2017
