Unable to cancel incorrect transaction

I bought for my wife a phone but on returning home found the phone sold was not as we requested and the deal is useless. Called the Three who have stated that there is no cooling off period so called Barclaycard. There answer is any transaction authorised by the customer, irrespective as to whether it is correct or otherwise can't be cancelled by them. Whilst it isn't my complaint I'm not surprised that fraudsters are running wild. Imagine if someone has duped me for one reason or another. Reviewed on: 26th October 2016

Draconian rules and pathetic customer service!

Barclaycard has draconian rules and pathetic customer service! I recommend looking for another card. You would think that any credit card company would be happy to receive your payments, deposit them immediately, and give you immediate credit. Not Barclaycard. They require that all payments be “in the form of a single, non-folded check or money order.” What happens if you need to put 2-3 checks/money orders in one envelope? Barclaycard says, “Any payment with multiple checks or money orders, additional correspondence, staples, paperclips, etc. will be considered a 'non-conforming payment' which may delay the crediting of the payment for up to 5 days.” The rule about multiple checks/money orders delaying your payment could be considered reasonable except for three factors: (1) They deposit the multiple checks/money orders immediately, so they get the funds immediately, but they don’t credit your account immediately. (2) They may delay crediting your account 10 days or more, and not 5 days. (3) In the meantime, if you have to pay to get copies of checks/money orders that they have cashed but not credited to your account, Barclaycard does not reimburse you for the expense! A Card Worth Applying For

Having been a customer of Barclaycard now for eighteen months, I have nothing but praise for the way my business has been conducted. Anytime I have had to contact them, be it on the telephone or via there secure message option on their website, I have always received prompt replies to my questions. Their website gives you a vast array of different options to choose from and any problems you may encounter or be experiencing, there is usually always something there to help you. As my title heading says, I think Barclaycard is a credit card well worth applying for, and can be an added extra friend in your purse or wallet. Reviewed on: 30th August 2016

Personalised to your needs and plenty of offers

The Barclaycard Initial was the first credit card I ever got, for the simple reason I needed to build my credit history. To start with it was one of the first to have contactless which is a very handy extra. They set me a small credit limit and provided I paid it off gave me a reasonable credit limit increase. There are lots of discount offers associated with barclaycard credit card including discounts. The card offers a monthly pay off scheme for large purchases. As well as the usual balance transfer offers you can also select to transfer cash to your bank account which is really good. They offer you deals often provided you keep up with your monthly repayments. Great product, great offers and easy to manage online or on the mobile banking app. I would definitely recommend this card to younger people who are looking to build their credit rating and like deals and discounts!
