Ann Walpole is a credit to Darlington Building Society, we have been dealing with Ann for many years, as well as being a very caring person with a lovely attitude she is very knowledgeable in her field of work. Also in her absence all other staff are very capable to take over the reins, all have the knowledge and are able to deal with any issues. Poor. Numerous attempts to renew mortgage deal by phone. Calls not returned, appointment not met. Wrong documentation emailed. Normally deal personally with branch which is much better service that telephone service. 3 months to get served. Reviewed on: 28th November 2023

We had a telephone consultation with Ann Walpole at Darlington B/scy, we have known Ann for some time now she is very professional and pleasant and was able to answer all of our queries and give us clear instructions to the next stage of the process, in all of our dealings with Darlington B/scy all of their staff go out of their way to help. I’ve been a customer for mortgages with DBS for 10 years now and they’ve always looked after me. I like that you can speak to people local and deal with the same person. There’s a personal touch that is lacking at bigger banks. Paula Marshall has dealt with my most recent application for a house move, porting the mortgage over and additional lending. She has been very helpful and kept me updated with progress. Paula has dealt with my case beyond my expectation. I appreciate how quickly the application was processed. Very easy measured approach was taken by Ann when we discussed my mortgage change up. All questions were answered completely and lots of options offered.
