Darlington saved our home

A real understanding of community values

I have had a mortgage with the society for many years. During this time I have switched mortgage deals a number of times to other products provided by the society. I have found the process pretty straight forward to do on my own using the website and through discussion with a member of the customer service team. In the past I have fallen into arrears with my mortgage due to a change in circumstances and whilst I buried my head in the sand for sometime as I was afraid of the repercussions of doing so when I eventually came up for air and spoke to the team about it I found them to be empathic in dealing with and helping me to get back on track which ultimately avoided me losing my family home. I am eternally grateful for the compassion shown to me by the society during this difficult period. I’m not sure I would have been helped to stay in my home by the bigger lenders! Helpful staff

Darlington Building Society is our mortgage provider. And honestly, I don't know what we would have without them. They provided us with the mortgage we needed to buy our bungalow, which gave us a roof over heads! They have looked after since, with renewal quotes at excellent interest rates!
