They have been very supportive and good communicators throughout the process, alongside being quick to coordinate stage payments which has been critical in enabling the build process to run smoothly. Gave a mortgage to pensioner!

Gave a mortgage to me as a retired person which I was unable to get from other banks. Fantastic as enabled to buy my own house for the first time in 20 years! Also got a great deal at a reasonable rate. Reviewed on: 12th April 2025

Reliable good service

The mortgage provided by the Darlington Building Society has been ideal for my needs and when it came up for review I was able to repay some of the capital and get a reasonable rate at a very challenging time. The only downside was several sources of information giving slightly different advice bt that was resolved by speaking to someone. Reviewed on: 12th April 2025

Interest rate reductions not sufficient

Despite the interest rate cuts by the bank of England the rate the reduction of our mortgage, which is on a variable rate, has been negilgible. Customer service has been good with prompt replies to inqueries. Reviewed on: 11th April 2025
