Review of the Esure, Car Insurance:

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Had a drunk driver crash into my parked car outside my house on 20th August. After an initial phone call all that happened was the offer of a courtesy car. I really didn't want to lose my car to write off so really wanted to wait and see what their damage assessment would be etc before being locked into a claim with them. Fast forward 4 weeks and absolutely zero contact from them. Finally after writing a bad review on Trustpilot they got in contact. Had taken my car to a local place for assessment of damage which I have shared with them. Two weeks later and just more radio silence from them. Utterly useless - how they are a "service" I have no idea. Will NEVER insure with eSure or other companies owned by them again even if it's the cheapest option. AVOID AVOID AVOID! THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY

1
Without doubt the worst insurance company we have ever dealt with!! Not only is it virtually impossible to get through on the phone, the web chat is diabolical! Three times I tried using the web chat only to be told three times no advisor was available even though I used the service within opening hours. To add insult to injury, the chat closed down each time I asked the virtual assistant a question about car claims. More than understandable why Which gave this pathetic organisation the lowest customer service score. When the accident occurred we were told Esure would not recover the car if the police instructed a company to move it. Bear in mind the car is undrivable and blocking a single lane road!!!! What idiot would think it’s okay to refuse recovery and cause mayhem on a public road?!?!?! The agent also suggested the accident would be a knock for knock even though no investigation had been undertaken and even the police office in attendance said he could clearly identify another driver as having caused the accident!!! We then received an email saying the car was a total loss followed by another email saying the car was going to be repaired!!! Can’t then get through on the phone or web chat despite multiple attempts!!! I resort to using Twitter and the Esure representative said she would request an urgent callback from the claims department. Unsurprisingly we have received no call back. I asked the rep for details of the complaints process and department and she point blank refused to give them to me!!! She said I had to wait for the callback before making a complaint - utter rubbish as I’m more than entitled to pursue a complaint based on our experience to date. Quite clearly Twitter Debbie needs urgent training in how to provide great customer service. I will be sharing this complaint far and wide. Absolutely disgusted with the appalling service received. Always reliable and easy to contact when needed. Online account functions are good and reasonable, but could also be enhanced further. Reviewed on: 2nd June 2023

Worst car insurance company I have ever dealt with.

1
This all started a couple of weeks ago when, luckily I spotted my auto renewal notice. It has nearly doubled since last year.. I am 68. In the past I have been a driving instructor and passed my HGV class 1 last year. in all of my years driving I have never made a claim and my license is clean. My insurance with them is due to expire in two weeks time. I noticed a small crack on my windscreen last night so I thought I would give them a call to see if it would affect my no-claims if it was fixed. After hanging on their phone line for over half an hour I was told that it would affect my no-claims and they made it sound that it was normal. I have been shopping around for a new insurer and haven't found any that agree with that.in other words windscreen claims do not affect no-claims with most other insurers. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

AVIOD

After speaking to the customer service agent and agreeing I would like to renew I was told it was all complete and went on my day. 7days later I received an email saying can you please contact us without any explanation. After calling the company they made me aware that due to a training error my insurance wasn’t renewed and that for the last 7days I was in fact driving around uninsured. Since then I’ve put in a complaint which they said I will get a response within 8weeks which isn’t good enough. Then after 8 weeks I received an email saying within the next 4 weeks I will hear back from them and still nothing. This has caused me nothing but stress and anxiety. Still now I’m no closer to an ending to all of this. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2023

Utterly woeful claims service.

1
This ongoing sage is pathetic - Service utterly woeful This ongoing sage is pathetic. Having just spoken to my insurance Direct line, who could not have been more helpful. So I am now trying to ring Esure as the third party., but they try and avoid phone calls from third parties. Your Driver crashed into me and has admitted so, but the Quantex portal, insurance companies use to communicate though shows you have not read the messages from my insurance company from the 5th / 14th / 18th April and 9th of May 2023. I will be writing to your customer and speaking to the Insurance Ombudsman shortly, if this is not sorted forthwith. I have just received a letter from my insurance company saying your are not taking calls form third parties that I will forwarding to the Ombudsman. Your service is utterly woeful . OMG my ears are bleeding

I tried ringing numerous times about my renewal and have been on hold for an hour each time with music that made my ears bleed. I tried the virtual assistant who just closed the chat window without warning so I'm starting to think its personal and they just don't want to talk to me or have my business anymore - but then I hear you ask why would they not want to talk to me or have my business. Maybe the 57.4% increase in premium costs since last year has something to do with it, (no claims, prosecutions etc) or the fact they claim "When we issue your renewal quote, it will always be the same or less than the equivalent new customer price" - hahahahaha not - so I put it to the test, lo and behold, £200 cheaper as a new customer. To anyone reading this, go elsewhere - god help you if you ever need them. Reviewed on: 12th May 2023

One year wonders

1
E-Sure were the cheapest quote available so I opted for them, 1 year later and I get told there system is down and they don't have the facility to renew quotes meaning I should re-apply, I've filled in the form just for them to quote more than double, joke of a company when you ask for them to call and discuss they ignore your question and the quit the chat, absolute disgrace of a company Reviewed on: 9th May 2023

They're OK.

I was with esure for 7 years. And I never had any problems with them. Found them the cheapest company etc. But when it came to my renewal my insurance had doubled when I was expected to receive a discount for another year's no claims as I'm sure anyone would. I have been driving 15 years and I have never experienced my insurance go up after a year. Never mind doubled. Unfortunately I had to cancel my policy and move else where. For less than half what they were quoting me aswell. Reviewed on: 9th May 2023

Should be zero stars

Had the misfortune to insure my vehicle with these scam artists, and then suffer a non fault claim when a third party hit me from behind when stationary. Over three weeks later my vehicle has been returned in a worse condition than when it went In for the remidal work and they've charged me £400 for the pleasure. As for phone calls I've spent 19.5 hours on phone trying to sort this. Time to start billing them and see them in court Reviewed on: 26th April 2023

AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS

1
The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Don't even try calling as you could be on hold for 2-3 hours (no joke). On today's call, after complaining that I'm on hold for 1h15 min Mr. Eton with provoking sarcasm and attitude asks me if that was the reason for my call, which added to my frustration and anger. My claim has been ongoing for over 6 months !!!!! Can you actually believe it? I am still having to chase this incompetent company to resolve my issue. Never ever again Esure.
