Herrendous customer service, Avoid at any cost!!!!

horrendous customer service-AVOID!!!! I moved from LV insurer to Goskippy due to recommendation from Confused.com website when my car insurance was due for renewal. The quote provided by confused .com for the car insurance with GoSkippy was £100 cheaper than my quote from LV. Foolishly I decided to move my car insurance to a company with horrendous customer service. Firstly they refused to provide a detailed proposal. I had to pay the insurance fee first. When I paid the insurance fee it appeared the quotation I was given by confused .com did not cover the legal fees and the number of no claim bonus had to be adjusted. With the additions and amendments as WELL AS £50 ADMIN fee the opertives charged me every time they picked up the phone, the car insurance became more expensive that my renewal quotation from LV. LVs customer service was great throughout the year. So that reminded me that cheap(er) is not necessarily better. They compensate for the discount by charging admin fees at any opportunity risen. When I complained to their customer service, I was told that it was my responsibility to read my insurance policy and do my research about the company. Given the fact Goskippy refused to give me an insurance proposal before taking the payment, I feel rubbed off. Also when I wanted to cancel my policy , there was extra fees for cancellation. It was not all.The phone lines are very busy and mininmum wait is about 40 minutes( it reminded me of calling my gp practice). When I finally got through the queue, half of the operatives I spoke with were form other nationalities with poor command of English. So each phone conversation took a long time. I was asked to provide several documents via uploading them to their portal.One of these documents was proof of my no claim bonus. Firstly I uploaded my renewal invitation from LV which had the number of no claim years on it. I received to inform me that the renewal invitation from LV was not acceptable and I needed to get a certificate from LV. I provided Goskippy with all the details so they can get the information they required. Despite the fact That Goskippy emailed me the certificate and required further payment including admin fee, I kept receiving multiple emails and phone calls to ask for the no claim bonus. Then they stated in the email: " Acceptable No Claims Discount proof can be a renewal letter, a cancellation letter or a general proof of No Claims Discount letter."whilst previously when I uploaded my renewal invitation letter it was rejected. Finally I had enough ad I called their customer service team to figure out what the problem was and complained. I spoke with Ciara or Kiara who informed me that despite the money being taken and document obtained, the chaser set by one the operatives was not deactivated and she apologsed. When I asked to have my admin fee returned she told me: We do not owe you anything, all the customer are like you.You Should have your research before signing up". so to those of you who are thinking about joining the company, BEWARE. whatever you save in discounts , you will pay back in admin fee and will have to put up with total incompetency throughout your insurance year. Cheapest on Money Supermarket - beware you get what you pay for!!! Useless portal/incompetent customer service 0 out of 10, save yourself time and money and go for a well established insurer. Useless incompetent customer service

Pay the extra to get a well known insurer. I have spent hours on the phone having to sift through document policies to prove my nc as they immediately accused me of putting false information as my previous insurer only capturers 9+ years. My husband's licence summary can't be accessed via the DVLA website -a glitch - we had to call get a code, sent it to them and 2 days later they sent me a letter cancelling my insurance. I called and they hadn't even opened the email - no apologies. The woman couldn't get the code to work. I asked her what was I supposed to do and she just kept saying the same thing over and over again. I asked to speak to a supervisor which she refused. I have no option but to cancel my insurance and they will charge over £100!!!! Unbelievable!!! Not even able to speak to a manager! Avoid at all costs!!! Reviewed on: 24th August 2022

I had been insured via go skippy for many years then i received a letter saying my insurance had been cancelled spoke to customer service and they said i didnt send document of no claims when i was already insured by them they held my no claims document anyway! Reviewed on: 1st August 2022

Reap-offs

Imagine not having a Car again because you gave it back and Go shitty telling you to pay a Cancellation fee of such a ridiculous amount! They don't care about their customers, just out to make money! Even to make changes through the phone lines cost £50 and 15 online so good luck if you can't work out their ridiculous portal!!! Cancellation

Have 1 car with skippy, called them to ask if there are any discounts if i have all my cars with them (3) and they said no, so since there are company giving great discounts for having multiple cars with them i decided to ask for cancel,what she told me surprised me alot as i never heard of that, since i oay monthly i still have 800£ left to pay whoch are 4 or 5months, she says for me to cancel i need to pay cancellation fee plus all the money that is left to pay which is 800£+cancellation fee, i would never ever comeback to this company as i never heard before of it, i get abiut cancellation fee and to pay for the month whats left, although for whole time whats left, no, never ever here again after my insuranve is finished. !! Imagine if smth happebs or someone offers good price for your car and you want to sell it you will need to pay everything or pay monthly even you have no car, i cant believe ! Scammers-Avoid like the plague

I sold my second car as times are tight then cancelled my DD to GoSpivs then called to cancel the policy. Amongst all the cancellation fees they are trying to charge me a £25 default fee. Horrible people to deal with I'm glad to be moving away from them. Reviewed on: 14th June 2022
