Absolutely shocking customer service .

Absolutely shocking customer service .My card was used fraudulently,it took over an hour for someone to pick up the phone call on the dedicated fraud team ,where I was told I must have used my card .I explained that card was cancelled in 2022 and how had they gotten access to my card ..,simply not interested ..Started a chat online ,explained everything very clearly ,only to be asked ' what amount did I use on my card' ,I don't know what was so hard to understand about me having cancelled the card ,and I had received a notification that a payment had been declined .Foreign chat website,everytime there is an issue with Halifax ,they cut off your chat if you do not respond within 10 minutes( even though it can take up to 8 hours for them to reply to you ) .Then you have to start the chat all over again,explain yourself again...this can go on for days .They really need to put customers first..after all we are what keep them going . I have banked with Halifax for 15 years and never had any problems with them, they were helpful and supportive when I had to change my cards and sort out issues with subscriptions that should not have been taken and help with fraudilant activity. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Whilst abroad dealing with an emergency, Halifax decided to 'update' their website. This meant I wasn't able to log into my account. Having spent 20 mins on hold waiting for help I gave up. I shall be moving banks as soon as possible. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Good consistent bank for meeting needs

I have found Halifax to be a consistent bank in terms of meeting my needs - though I would speak well of them in regards to an incident I experienced some time back where my account was cleared out by scam. The Halifax team were quite to address and identify the issue, as well as reimbursing me what was lost. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Fantastic app
