The worst insurance SCAM

Haven taxi insurance policy... Paying for a taxi insurance £2700 a year... I had a none fault car accident. When I reported it to Haven they offered me the service to claim for the personal injury. What they didn’t say is that the insurance doesn’t cover for that!! After 10 days and have received contracts to be signed from their solicitors company which I didn’t sign, then I received an email saying that the car insurance doesn’t cover for a personal injury claim. So if you trust you just sign the contract and you are not advised that you will have to pay for that service!! On the other side, the car insurance offered me to collect my car to be repaired and drop off a courtesy car in the meantime. They kept my car in the garage for 20 days to change a bumper!!! The first 2 weeks they hadn’t done anything to the car. Why? Because then they can charge to the Third Party all these days for the hire vehicle. What car do you think they dropped off? The newest E Class, when my car is 8 years old. Why? Because they want to charge to the Third Party £350 a day for that car!! When you can get that car for £250-300 a week!!. When I told them to collect the hire vehicle after a week time to keep it, as I didn’t need it anymore, they made it so difficult and asking me so many questions about why I didn’t need the car longer? So rude stuff who almost didn’t allow me to give back the car in a different location which was more convenient for me. As I couldn’t to be at home all day waiting for them to come and collect the car. They just wanted to charge more and more to the Third Party. You have a car accident and then they call you every day to try to drop off the courtesy car to start getting money. I had to tell them every day during 3 weeks that I didn’t need the car yet as I was injured and I wasn’t driving at all. When they asked me if I could pay for a hire vehicle I told them that I couldn’t and I said to them that I had enough expenses with my own car. I couldn’t afford more expenses. Now it’s almost 3 months since the car accident happened, they are still asking me to prove that I can pay for that car!! when I already told them that I couldn’t pay for another car!! And even they told me all times that the third party will pay for that!! Why did they drop off that new car if my car worths £4000?? Why do they make everything so difficult?? Why didn’t they drop off a cheap car for me when I told them that I couldn’t afford to pay for another car!!. I’ve never seen a service like that in my life and I drive for 24 years. Thieves, scams, keep away! Very unprofessional, took my car to total loss while in very good working condition, and while I insisted I wanted to keep the car as why they offered me was very low and after removing excess fee I could not even buy a car at all. Only interested in total loss so they can bring down the value tremendously and reduce the excess fee too so you are left with peanuts. After 2 months still nothing has been received in my account. They are rude, don’t reply to your emails and drop the line on purpose, while leave you hanging with no timeframe! Reviewed on: 15th June 2024

Avoid at all costs!!

I had my insurance with Haven for 2 years with no problem. I got a new plate all transfered by DVLA, I tried to update on their portal but it would not let me and it just said policy active. I was stopped by the Police a few months ago and after a conversation with the insurance company they let me go and said it must just be a computer glitch. I have just been pulled over by a Police officer again and after he finally got through to them they said that as of now they will terminate my contract meaning I will not be insured as of tomorrow. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of communication on their part as I have never at any stage been told to contact them. I put my trust in their portal to be designed in a way that is reliable to notify customers to contact them if there is something that is not acceptable by their company terms. It has done me a favour as I have now been insured by a company that has direct contact and an app that has direct chat with a company rep. Awfully disappointed at the way they handled this but they have just lost a customer who would have remained loyal for the long haul! Reviewed on: 9th April 2024

Refused to send assistance.

Refused to send assistance. I am stuck in mud next to a big ditch. They say they don't cover this and have left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. I've got no food or water. No shops for miles. My vans sinking in to the ditch and I have nobody else to help me. I will be cancelling the breakdown cover with these and they will be refunding me for what I've already paid and I will look for cover that doesn't leave people stranded in the middle of nowhere without food or water to survive and no hope of getting out. Scammed out of my insurance

Took out haven insurance on my mercedes sprinter luton at a valuation of £8000 last year renewed it this year and my van was stolen so total loss I've received a email today saying that they have valued my van and its £2450 this is a 2015 sprinter luton van how can they get away with this that is disappointing as I will not get a van anywhere for that money not even damaged or scrap I've looked on the Internet and can't find one cheaper than £6000 Reviewed on: 9th December 2023

collected car for glass repair after attempted theft - sold it for profit with its entire content, did not communicate that this had happened and pretended car was being repaired. Do not use (Con men)

Do not use Acorn/Haven insurance people, I insured my Grandsons 1st car with them at a cost of £2500 for a Vauxhall Corsa a couple of months ago. We agreed a value of £9500, Unfortunately he had a bump and the car was written off, there now telling me it was valued at £7275 on there system which is impossible I couldn't even buy one for that. (they'll of charged the fee on my valuation), Top and bottom of it is that's all there prepared to pay minus the £1100 excess, so keep away from this rip off company, (Con Men) Reviewed on: 11th October 2023

I'm so confused

I signed up with haven insurance through got you covered, I recently had a non fault claim with them..... while waiting for my car to be repaired I have had two mechanics check to see if repairable and they have said yes.....my car wasn't checked by insurance repair people and they've just said it's written off although confirmed that it's possible to fix......no options given to me but that copart will come to take my car, and from my car value which is £1.695 they are taking off money from that which I'm guessing it will be near to nothing I will receive. No car after a accident they confirmed was 100% not my fault and lost money after paying over £3.000 in insurance. Pethatic Insurance Company

Insurance has been bugging me for a month since I have contacted them for my taxi claim but till today 03-07-2023 they lying. I am jobless since I had an accident. BMW Bodyshop sent them the quotation to insurance for approval and they are not confirming it. Upon my numerous contacts with insurance, they said we have sent the approval but in fact, it's not because BMW said we have not received the approval from insurance despite sending them reminders till today. 03.07.02023 Reviewed on: 3rd July 2023
