Been with these (ACORN) for well over a year, first impressions were good no issues, i held a motor-trade policy with them, they knew i had multiple disabilities including being autistic, having a recent stroke and type 1 diabetic, the didn't explain things clear to me, constantly asked me for paperwork which was provided to them, everything they wanted they were issued with.
They sent me a letter of cancellation out due to a vehicle not being removed from their MID within 24 hrs of selling it (most other insurers advise of up to 14 days). I explained i had simply forgotten and that its normal behaviour of a human (Human error) they didn't want to know, i made a written complaint to them after seeking legal advice and they said my insurance would stay active until they complaint was dealt with, shortly after i received an email stating my insurance policy would be cancelled 3 days from the date of the email (which was actually 2 days of receiving the email) i called them and they had said that HAVEN had sent me a reply and cancellation via email themselves however this was in an unreadable attachment which i sent screen shits of, they also said HAVEN had posted me a letter which while i was on the phone, had come through the letter box (14th Nov) dated 8th NOV saying my insurance would be cancelled at 00:00 on the 15th of Nov essentially only giving me a few hours to arrange other insurance to cover me, they wouldn't help at all, told me to go elsewhere and it was the end of our relationship..... this place is a joke and feel they did not treat my disability seriously and did not take my disabilities into consideration whilst doing what they did.

There is simply nothing positive to say, from start to hopefully finished with them soon. Just stay away. There are better options out there. Companies like this should legally not be allowed to exist.

NOW , after them sending our car to vauxhaul pentegon mansfield who delt with this issue as follows. back lights all dead.. boot smashed in, used filler. on a door which bangs and filler can drop out. also had to fit new bumper to car with reverse sensors, which wasnt done right chris manager at vauxhaul said they will go off with water . there sonar sensors lol designed to work with water,, never herd of a dophine sonar pack in when in water ,, what a tw*t. to say the least .. then it was taken to ford to check who then dropped oil all down engine, with these idiots at haven., il mention some names in a moment, i can say enough bad things i was in bed when all this happened yet his insurance company , haven , wow. originaly it was taken to ford who wanted money upfront, that kinda screamed to me about haven, dont like to pay out and put things right,! and how right was i.. so now im left with a car sat outside my home ive had to fix myself. ! rear lights,, oil pressure. reverse sensors fitted cheap shitty copys , oem not original ford parts as i asked for. beware these IDIOTS USE OEM PARTS NON ORIGINAL.! SPECIFY ND MAKE SHURE THERE GENUINE PARTS BEFORE HAND. AND DONT BELIEVE ANYTHINK THEY SAY CHECK FOR YOURSELF ASK TO SEE PROOF OF ORIGINAL PARTS ORDERED.. AVOID...

I will keep updating this through my legal battle that is just commencing. My vehicle was stolen and recovered and they have basically tried to rip me off by offering in settlement half the value of my vehicle. I want it fixed but they claim the fixing cost more than the write off price but that only because they value the vehicle so low. In addition their service is absolutely atrocious. I have to chase every single time. They never call back. I have rejected their ridiculous settle offer and am taking the matter trough the Financial Ombudsman but I expect I'll have to end up taking this to the court. Be extra aware if you are a taxi driver as they do not honor their hire car commitment and for every day your car is off the road you lose money. Mine has been off the road for 7 weeks now so I will make a claim for lose of earning too. This is a terrible company to do business with. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a reputable insurance company (if such a thing exists that is)

I was hit by Haven insurance client and my car is now write off. I have requested my settlement letter so many times and I’m getting no reply’s what so ever. My GAP insurance needs this letter for me to continue with my claim. I drive for a living and need to buy a new car. How long more have I got to wait? You have already paid out to my vehicle management company the full amount into their account so why can’t you send me my settlement letter. I will take this case further until I receive what I need in paper. This level of service I’m getting is terrible I will not be recommending haven to anyone in the near future.

idiots sent it to advanced car repairs in chesterfield at my request haven has such bad feedback and customer services that they wanted money upfront to repair car, thats how bad this company actually is, then midway through claim bare in mind there client hit our car outside house, and drove off. then pissed us about. 2 weeks later car still not touched even changed adviser who was dealing with us not a good way to deal with customers. why change from one adviser to another midway through. and leave us high and dry,, carrys on be taking legal action with our insurance company against client who hit us ,and haven for pissin us about. Would never recommend this company to any one the staff are a nightmare to deal with took weeks to actually sort my claim out, everytime I rang I kept getting passed on to other departments no one seemed to know anything about my claim haven arranged for my burnt out car to be recovered from the side of the motorway after it caught fire then I called them 2 days later to see what was going on and they hadn't even got a record of me making a claim or the fact they themselves had arranged the recovery of my car the staff need to be re trained as they really dont know what they are doing they then told me they wanted proof of the car being on fire so I sent them all the photos which then I was told they didn't need because the bloke that recovered my car for the insurance company had already sent them all the pictures this company made a stressful time 10 times worse by not doing there job properly would never ever use them again even if they were the cheapest company around u get what u pay for which was a poor piss quality service

somebody recommended to this scam company. Acorn insurance who are the brokers but you are insured with Haven insurance, and they look ways to get more money out of you by finding faults. Paid £3k for the insurance. Going down the line, unfortunately i had a collision. I reported the incident to haven, but when i called they said that it will take 48 hours for the details to come so can you please call after that. Every time you call the answering machine says they cant put you through.When the phone did go through they appointed the solicitors and this company by the name of Rapid vehicle management. i gave them the details of the witness, they send the text without there contact number so the witness cannot call them. I called them everyday and after 7 days they closed my file and they wanted me to repair the car my self and pay for the damages myself and pay for the car hire. Yet the third party are not disputing the fault. It's been 9 days and i haven't got no replacement car or got my car repaired. I checked on the FCA website about the Rapid vehicle management it's status this is what it says ' This is an appointed representative (AR) that is no longer an agent of an authorized firm. Do not start to do 'REGULATED' business with an AR that is no longer registered'. This is also from the FCA ' Insurance Distribution A firm that offers or sells insurance products and services This firm is unable to undertake insurance distribution. For me it's a nightmare just has
started. I have to ask a accident management company to sort everything out for me. Please please spread the word about this scamming company. Acorn insurance/haven insurance/Rapid vehicle management.
One more thing the Haven insurance is based in Gibraltar EEA and not in regulation of UK government regulation.

Haven Insurance comprehensive car claims do not allow you to have your car repaired at the garage of your choice. If they do back down, they will only pay you a cash figure based on the same very cheap rates that they have negotiated with their own repairers. This is net of VAT and so you would still have to pay VAT to your own repairer! Still, this is probably better than the basic type of repair that you can image would be carried out at these “at the bone” rates by one of their own repairers. Avoid if at all possible.

Needed to jump start my car parked on my drive ,as battery discharged ..After 30 min on the phone to Heaven's customer service-(premium number which cost me over £20...)they have sent a recovery vehicle with mechanic who asked me to show him 'a positive ' pole in my car.??..he then summoned further assistance..another mechanic arrives to assist him in jump starting my vehicle-(from JD Madden garages LTD)-.Not only the mechanic didn't know what he was doing,he then asked me to sign a box in his electronic device,which I did.When I asked what I was signing,I was told not to worry,copy of report would be send by e-mail....It was sent -only report was totally fabricated-report stated that 'rear lift' was performed...along with 'faulty alternator' -identified.When I complained to Heaven insurance,they have said sometimes reports are 'not totally accurate''...They offered to put a flag on my insurance,making sure that JD Madden LTD,would not assist my car in the future..I have asked for correct report,nothing has been done so far(reported on 21/8/18......Certainly won't be renewing my car insurance..Will be passing my complaint to FO unless resolved promptly. Cowboys.

Terrible customer service... Called them and Informed about cancelling my insurance policy as I sold my car. They told me to email the request. No reply or confirmation even after two weeks. But, Instalment for insurance has been charged for next month too.
I had 5 more months left in my taxi insurance policy. But, customer care recommended not to cancel it and rather get no claim bonus (what a funny advice). They want me to keep the insurance on a car that I no longer own. Further, I was told I will not receive any refund and I will have to pay all remaining instalment for next 3 months even if I cancel the policy. What a rip off. In fact, I will have to pay £1,035 for cancelling a one year policy in 7 months. What a day time robbery?. Who is regulating theses fraudsters..?

No haven here... Don't use them...

Chris Evans the manager of these handlers promised faithfully he would put a letter with pictures and never did !!! Lies lies lies!!!
Do not use this company and the repair company that they told me to go to PerfectFinish in farnworth near Bolton only painted the car a different shade of white ! And lost a switch inside my car please do not use either companies
