My local hsbc bank has very helpful and friendly staff, this is from everything to helping me change or review my products to enabling me to use the cash deposit machine when you only need to deposit cash or cheques during busy periods when the counters are full. Can't praise them enough for all of their help over the 10 years I have banked with them. Well done hsbc. Reviewed on: 20th April 2015

Banking experience always leaves you a bad taste. From long line to inexperienced staff. I never imagine I would say this. HSBC change that perspective for me. The service was fast. I waited only 2 minutes before going to the counter compared to at least 5 minutes to other banks. The staff at the counter always greet you with smile. That made my day as well. What else can I say? That's one of the best experience in 20 years of banking. I would recommend everyone including my family to use HSBC. They're one of the best. You don't have to believe me. i love hsbc but there small.

i really like hsbc, but i dont like the new changes they made to bank to bakn transfer i dont understand why we need to download the app or have a security device to make outside bank transfers. i want hsbc to change their system bank to bank trasfer back to its orginal format. i dont think its unreasonable to request desktop transferring with pcs and macs. i ope sb realzes ho ridiculous their security devices Reviewed on: 17th April 2015

ONE star is too much!!

terrible. even closing the account was an absolute nightmare. to start, when i opened the account, it was a bait and swtich. lovely intro savings rate that very quickly plummeted into something ridiculously not worth it. i opened this account so i'd have a back up when i travel overseas. before i leave, i call and make sure that i will be able to use the card overseas. i was in thailand and i lost my first atm card and tried to use this one. lo and behold it never worked. i had to finish the rest of my trip with $60 in my pocket. so when i get back home i transfer all the money out and try to close the account. but they wont close it because they need me to change my address to close it. which takes xxx days. i file a complaint. which was never to be on file. i call to inquire about my recent calls, which were never on file. finally, after still not being able to close the account, i get a charge for not having enough funds, because i transferred everything out, to close the account, because hsbc sucks. in the end i finally (hopefully) officially closed the account after totally losing my cool, yelling at the customer service rep on the phone, and demanding that the fee be removed and the accounts be closed once and for all, with written confirmation of all the actions. hsbc is crap.
