Beware. Bad customer service and horrible company for home insurance

1
Horrible company to insure your home. I will start looking home insurance else where as soon as 3 months before the finishing of policy. There price are competitive but when it comes to claim they will try everything in this world to decline it. Storm damage my roof and they point blank declined to cover inside or outside. No help what so ever. It was my biggest mistake to insure from them and learnt the hard way. Please be extremely careful to insure from them. Rather go to a reputable company than them. Bodged up kitchen

1
Installed discontinued kitcehn and ignored our warning this is what builder did even after kitchen company confirmed discontinuation. Lloyds insurance are ignoring ombudsman decission which was upheld in our favor so fighting them tooth n nail. Workmanship is dire, units not installed square, blades used for cutting blunt so rough edges on units. photos can be supplied as proof. Reviewed on: 8th November 2023

Shameful

1
If you are looking for home insurance, do not go with Lloyds if you want anything actually done or you need to make a claim. The team on the end of the phone are liars, the people that turn up to your house are liars, everything is a sham. For a company that is nearly 300 years old, absolute disgrace. Every interaction with them is painful and at the end, they don't event cover what you want them to cover. You're on your own. You might as well get the work done yourself and take the hit rather than deal with this lot. On the upside, your no claims bonus will always be intact because they will find a way to not pay you....so they get one star for that. Reviewed on: 2nd October 2023

Atrocious level of service

1
Being a long standing customer I have found out how dreadful a company they are to deal with when submitting a claim. I will not be renewing my policy with them and urge everyone else to do the same. Very poor service in all areas Reviewed on: 18th September 2023

I don't have a lot of experience with their home insurance but I'm pretty sure that they are great for covering any damages that might happen. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023

Policy expensive - Service dreadful

1
Policy is expensive. The service you receive is awful. Continual chasing for information. Keen to take excess before they do anything. Slow to instruct surveyor, contractors and then won't remove a 'non blame' claim until the money is received from the other side. The Solicitors dealing with the claim ignore you as well. My advice go elsewhere Reviewed on: 7th June 2023

Cheapest and most competitive product I found. Reviewed on: 4th April 2023

% months since I reported subsidence of my home and they still have not sent anybody to look at it, despite emails requesting them to do so.

1
I contacted them in September of last year stating I had some cracks on the 'pine end' wall of my insured home. They have not attended my home to check the problem. They wanted to speak to me to ask 'important questions ' before they could progress with the claim. I told them I was unavailable for daytime calls and asked them to email the questions where I could supply them with answers. They still have not complied with my wish and thus far to date, they have not sent anyone to my home. I mentioned I would get a Chartered Structural Engineer as I was very worried about water flowing through the wall and the back door not closing properly. Mr. Collier said that I should send him a copy of the report, to which I replied that I would expect him to pay for the copy of the report, but he said he would not do that. On January 24th he said he would send a company called Innovation to my home to examine the problem. I checked who this company was, and their reputation of not replying to clients with their concerns, etc., was astoundingly bad, plus they are not experts in the field which is required. When I emailed Mr. Collier about my extensive research on this company he was very dismissive of my concerns and very rude in his manner. I have had a Chartered Structural Engineers report completed this past week and I emailed Mr. Collier to let him know the results were that there is subsidence and that my CSE stated that Mr. Collier should arrange for a Loss Adjuster to progress with this claim. I have yet to hear from Mr. Collier, and indeed he has emailed the 'important questions' that had stopped him from progressing with my claim, which were beyond ludicrous and could have been answered if he had bothered to examine the photographs of the damage I sent him last year! I do not understand why he is using delaying tactics and I will not send a copy of my report because he should send his own CSE and Loss Adjuster to progress with my claim, it should not be the client who does all the work and pay for expensive reports, this has been a fiasco and I would not recommend this company who do not seem to care for their clients or their homes that they have insured with them. I feel I have been intimidated and my concerns ignored for the last 5 months. I feel the only way to get anything done at this point is to go public through the media because this is astoundingly bad behaviour especially when it is a very serious problem. Home emergency

1
Awful service when confronted with a burst outdoor tap, the water was isolated but shot off downstairs utilities. With a family of 5 they argued that there was no water in the house and therefore not an emergency- soonest plumber appointment is 5 days time! Appealing service don’t use this insurer. Complaint procedure also not followed diverted to customer satisfaction department and this point phone went dead! Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023
