Lloyds Bank offer three levels of home insurance.

The Bronze policy is the most basic cover, Silver and Gold policies include accidental damage cover. Legal expenses cover is also included as standard in the Silver and Gold policies. Home emergency cover is an optional upgrade on all three policies.

my catastrophic leak

Lloyds were superb when we had a catastrophic leak last year. They were very effecicient once they found out it was not deliberate and were very helpful and we able to choose our replaceable items within a reasonable cost Reviewed on: 20th October 2016

Unimaginable incompetence

I closed my accounts with Lloyds over a year ago and since then they have continually reported my closed accounts as open and worse in default! I have complained and we paly a game of them apologising, they fix the credit report entries and we assume we are done. THE VERY NEXT MONTH we have to do this all over again as they report the account either open or with a default amount. Over the past 12 months they've sent apologies and even a £200 cheque in compensation but the false reporting damages my credit score and I have now lodged a second complaint with the Financial Ombudsmen to get this sorted out. We had insurance for our home after getting a mortgage, not problems, or no claims, unfortunately cancelling it after selling the house was a real hassle, rang 4 times couldn't get to the right people and when we finally did cancel and cancelled direct debit, they wrote to us asking for payment. I had to change my home address, and the nice gift The lloyd insurance made to me is to increase my car insurance of 52%. This means from 66.68 to 137.48 for each instalment. After this really bad experience which I was not expecting from them, I am going to transfer all my 3 bank accounts to another bank. Reviewed on: 16th May 2016

I have had to make a claim on my home insurance today as my oven door exploded. It is my first claim in 30 years and was not expecting it to be so straight forward, but they were absolutely wonderful. The new oven is ordered and the money has been put into my account already. They were so helpful, I can't speak highly enough of them. Definitely recommended Reviewed on: 14th May 2016

Provided with scandalous renewal quote

Received and expensive renewal quote. When queried was offered a lower amount that I felt was still too expensive so went online and got a deal with Lloyds Bank that I was not offered on the telephone. Reviewed on: 30th January 2016
