Waiting for a test your medical insurance is suspended

1
If you are waiting for a test or a scan, your medical insurance is suspended!!! As you may need to wait for months or years under the NHS you are wasting money on this policy. These conditions need to be in CAPITAL LETTERS in any communication from Lloyds Platinum as this was not the case with the previous underwriters. Reviewed on: 30th June 2023

Disgusting behaviour by Allianz insurance, Lloyds need to step in and change something

1
travelled to Munich November 2022, bags never arrived, made claim via Lloyds bank and Allianz, all requested documentation sent, acknowledgement of claim 4/5/23. Spoke with numerous agents, told constant lies, passed from person to person no outcome, escalated 3 times, no further forward, on hold to complaints for hours on end, emails not answered and trying to legitimise me being out of pocket and not paying what is rightfully mine. Disgusting experience and will now have to purchase other insurance for further travel. Reviewed on: 15th May 2023

watch out for the small print!!

1
The Lloyds Bank website says that the Platinum Account Travel Insurance covers cancellations and missed departures. If you read the small print it says that you are not covered unless you have actually checked in. when the flight is cancelled. It specifically excludes online check-in - it has to be a physical check in. There are two problems here. Firstly if you have no bags you don't check in at the counter so if the flight is cancelled while you're in the departure lounge you are not covered.because they require a paper boarding card as one of the required documents.you have to submit. Secondly, .you can't actually check in at the desk more than 2 hours before departure. So if the flight has already been cancelled (through bad weather eg) then you can't check in at all, and you cannot make a claim. So if you miss your connecting flight and you have no comeback. I know - my flight from Isle of Man to catch a long-haul connecting flight at Heathrow was cancelled. So I had to buy a new ticket at great expense and could not make a claim. I've banked with Lloyds for 53 years and pay a monthly fee of £15. NOT ANY MORE! Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

Not fit for purpose

1
I have asked this new insurance company on 2 occasions for advice and both times they do not know and refer me to their t and cs. They do not know what their customers are covered on and this seems like a cheap option for Lloyds to perhaps encourage Gold account customers to upgrade as this Travel insurance is useless and not fit for purpose. The previous company was much better so why did Lloyds change???? Money perhaps??? Certainly not in their customers interest or benefit. Reviewed on: 30th January 2023

Left me for dead in Mexico

Told me they won't pay or help because the local clinics over prescribed. While that may be the case they offered no help or alternative. Worst travel insurance company ever. Avoid it might cost you your life. Reviewed on: 19th January 2023

Lloyds Allianz Travel Insurance package not fit for purpose

1
I have been with Lloyds for over 40 years and have had to claim a couple of times through AXA when it was part of Lloyds travel Insurance -no problems at all -fast and efficient. Since they have changed to Allianz its been a nitemare -no -one to help with a claim or indeed give correct information. I have even been mis-sold a waiver fee for my daughter which was not needed-they have not reimbursed me and also took 2 months to pay a tiny claim [and only after having to resort to naming and shaming.on social media ]. Lloyds know the problem but wash their hands of it. I can see many other people aren't happy. Why are Lloyds selling a bad insurance package , and why aren't they getting involved in helping their customers, if their customers are having problems , after all its THEIR product they are offering ?! They have said its not their problem -well Lloyds-bye bye -I'm not going to keep my banking with you any longer if that is your respect for your customers. You obs don't need our money-very sad state of affairs . Reviewed on: 23rd November 2022

RUDE & ILL TRAINED STAFF

1
Today I visited my local branch and was appalled by the filthy floor and dirty seating, I complained to a staff member and was shocked by her rude reaction. I then went on to attempt a simple transfer but found the staff and manager to be ill-trained and incapable of any problem-solving. Eventually I solved the problem for the manager and the transfer was completed Reviewed on: 26th May 2022

Lloyds Bank Travel Insurance

1
As part of a Banking Package Lloyds provide Travel Insurance. The advice line is sound but when dealing with claims they are dreadful. A claim submitted in mid February has not been resolved. There is nobody in Lloyds or their insurance partner Allianz who can take the lead, be accountable, and address this poor performance. Allianz are overwhelmed and after 5 months I remain out of pocket. Reviewed on: 25th May 2022
