Easy to use but lacking in perks

Since buying out my Alliance & Leicester credit card years ago I actually feel that MBNA have improved the service. They don't hassle me with junk mail and they have recently extended the payment period which is great news if you are away on holiday or forget. They only downside is that they have stopped offering cashback on their Visa credit card. I can still earn cashback on my Amex card but many places will not accept Amex. This means I have lost a lot of cashback this year and at only 0.5% cashback it was not favourable in comparison to other providers anyway. Reviewed on: 6th February 2017

Great card

Very good experience. Easy to use and good online site to help you keep track of your spending. Points are earns as well which can be transferred into vouchers. Reviewed on: 1st January 2017

Good customer advisors

I have spoken to the advisors a number of times to resolve problems with my account. They are always friendly and help me out when I need them. They also helped prevent fraud on my account. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

AWFUL

Just awful customer service and they spin you a pack of lies! like when I had to make an urgent payment they said I could pay at the coop , and laughed. You can only pay at the coop if you have an account. Also I had to use recorded postage as they would constantly lie they never received my cheque..... when I used recorded postage I had to make one complaint on the default charges and got my money back... Then had no more default charges since !!! Id would tell any one to use them with caution! Reviewed on: 7th December 2016

Worst of the worst

This organisation is the worst of the worst. You have to go through a long process to speak to customer services, then when you do speak to them they are clueless! I think the only training they've probably had is to deceive because when it comes to maths they are THICK..If you get to talk to a senior manager it's a total waste of time because when they are put into a corner they tell you the conversation has to end and this happened to me on every occasion because I'd asked for a truthful answer to my question which they would not give me . DONT BE FOOLED BY SOME OF THE PEOPLES EXPERIANCE ON THIS SIGHT AS I CAN TELL YOU ALL THE STAFF WILL BE SUBMITTING REVIEWS BECAUSE THATS HOW TWISTED THE MANAGEMENT IS . good deals on balance transfer options

I have used my MBNA credit card for many years. I tend to use it less as an everyday credit card, instead I take advantage of the long balance transfer deals they keep sending me and use it to spread the cost of purchasing a large item. I find that it can take a while to get to speak to someone, lots of options to go through and then a reasonable wait for the call to be answered, however I do find that when I am able to eventually get through, my call is dealt with efficiently and approval granted quickly. I don't use the card as my everyday credit card as there is no loyalty points scheme and the interest rate is fairly high compared to other cards. Reviewed on: 23rd October 2016

Good value competitive rates

Great offers regular 0% balance transfer offers always friendly and helpful when ever you contact them . Best credit card provider by miles while others have increased there interest rates mbna have kept there's at an affordable level. Reviewed on: 12th September 2016
