Awesome customer service and always available

Great bank when they want your business but when they don't they are the worst!

Great at first then turned in to a nightmare. I used to tell everyone about Metro and now I tell them to steer clear. I'm lucky I maintained relationships with other high street banks. The branches and call centre also seem to be run by kids - and while I commend giving youth a chance I think they generally lack professionalism and manners which the older staff at the branches of HSBC/Barclays and Natwest clearly have experience of. So, while a great initial start I have been forced to take my business elsewhere and would not recommend Metro to other business owners. The personal account is much of a muchness and the safety deposit boxes are useful. I follow the share price and the news on Metro and this is an example of my experience with the bank. Was great once and now it's struggling for survival and truth is I wouldn't miss it if it failed. That's not what I would have said 12 months ago as I actually considered buying the shares. Student Organizations

It was very easy to set up a business account for our student organization to use and distribute funds. However, I would prefer a running statement as opposed to a monthly summary to optimize budgeting. Additionally, you cannot change information on your account without going into the bank. Unfair fees and poor customer service

I really don't like their fees once the account drops below a certain level. Feels like a rip off and a catch. Customer service has always been frustratingly poor too. Reviewed on: 10th March 2021

Efficient and easy to get things done

Friendly and available service

Metro always go out of their way to serve their customers. Not just as a banking client but with most businesses you never feel the company has your best interests at heart.
