I made a nettle account nearly 2 years ago and have been very happy! I’ve recommended mettle to over 10 people now who have all had great experiences too, the only down side is the referral scheme. But in terms of banking I couldn’t be happier, it’s easy to set up and navigate and any issues I’ve had has been quickly resolved with ease.. I’m glad found mettle as it’s honestly been a life saver for me! I’d highly recommend to anyone who’s thinking about joining mettle. Reviewed on: 25th March 2025

So much for free

Everything's great except impact of suspending account

Everything has been great apart from the time Mettle suspended my account without informing me when I applied for a savings pot. This meant invoices my business was due to pay didn't get paid and money I was due wasn't received. The knock on impact of this was that all payments to my account were then stopped by a private medical insurer which took months to sort out and rectify taking my time and meaning I wasn't paid for work. Great app and bank

Just Easy

A Sole traders dream

Has been simple to set up and use, its been the perfect solution for my small business, defiantly a great banking app for sole traders - both my wife and myself have mettle accounts - we both really love the pots feature as well which makes putting money aside from deposits really easy and fully automated.
