Banking done right!

I have been using Monzo as my main bank since October 2017 (I was part of the beta who had early access to the full current account). Monzo being a mobile only bank was a little daunting at first, but I soon found that this didn't matter at all (only slight annoyance is not being able to pay in cheques and cash). The budgeting tools are amazing and have actually helped me save enough to put a deposit down on a house! The only issues I have ever experienced have been the result of third-party issues, for which Monzo have been apologetic and have said they are taking steps to prevent the issues from happening again. It's been seamless.

It has been a good experience banking with monzo. I got to know about monzo from an advertisement online, I have been trying to open an account with another financial institution but it has been difficult so when I found out about monzo I decided to give it a try and it was an easy, direct and quick process. The online banking app is one of the best I've ever come across because it is very easy and simple to understand. Monzo is definitely a bank I would recommend for others to sign up with... I've only had good experiences..

I've not had any big issues that required huge support so not much time to test their customer service. I have heard some horrors but I imagine that can happen with other banks too - but they do have a physical store where the can resolve. My own experience has been positive, and i've made use of the useful features with a free monzo account such as early pay, flex, etc.. Reviewed on: 31st March 2025

Refreshingly usable app

Monzo was the first bank that had a useable and intuitive (and fun!) app. I initially only used it for nights out and holidays but it was so easy to use and pretty quickly, it became my main bank. Not only is it easy to use, it's well designed. The confirmation notification of the purchase you just made is invaluable, as is the categories which help track spending.
