I cannot explain how RUDE, DISAPPOINTING and UNHELPFUL this joke of a company is. Issues from the confirmation of the policy. Like many other upset people, the policy has been cancelled after the company 'requiring' information which they clearly should have asked for prior to taking money. They asked for a proof of no claims when I had previously stated that I am a new driver that has just passed. JOKE OF A 'COMPANY'!! If I could provide a lower starred rating, on reflection I would probably give minus stars. - Embarrassment. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2016

Insured my son for what we thought was a reasonable rate and paid full amount up front. Had emails etc from them confirming insurance with lots of blurb attached. Received a phone call asking for driving licence etc to be emailed to them (as he was under 25 yrs) or insurance would be cancelled. Sent them an email and phoned the next day to ask if they had received it. They couldn't talk to me apparently as I was not the policyholder even though they spoke to me requesting for the documents to be sent in the first place. Then received a letter a few days later saying that the insurance had been CANCELLED!! When we phoned to rectify this we were told that they could not reinstate the insurance even though we knew our email had been sent but they claimed they had not received. Their word against ours and we could not prove either way. Now have to get insurance somewhere else. They had our money in full and yet they could not do anything for us. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever and they get to keep part of the premium my son paid. They may be the cheapest but they are not the best by any stretch. Their communication is appalling. Insurance starts off 1700? Yay!!! :) Insurance ends 2000? Fuarrrkk -.- Absolute c**** when you speak to them they don't care at all if you have money or not, they just care about you purchasing more miles. Thank god I've only got 1 and half months left, they expected me to pay £300 for 500 miles?!?! I just told them straight, keep the miles and i will just leave my car on the road till january and start a new policy!!! Absolute c**** Reviewed on: 23rd November 2016

New and young driver STAY AWAY.

Rubbish service and inconsiderate of young and new driver. Policy started off at 2000. 125 pound per month. 7 month on and added miles. 370 a month. Total rip off. DO NOT USE. Reviewed on: 23rd November 2016

absolute TWATS!

I took out this insurance as I just passed and wanted to get driving fast , quote was 2100£ and that was 400£ deposit and something stupid like 200£ a month, 6 months and 2 top up miles later at 340£ each time for a 1000miles and they say I was speeding , no warning no email no phone call just a email saying it's canceled in 7 days ? DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY THERE ABSOLUTE TWATS ! you can never get through on a phone call and despite giving them over 3000£ in 6 months they did not care ! utter fraud artists Reviewed on: 22nd November 2016

Do not recommend this insurance company at all! No communication what so ever with regards to a claim! I kept having to contact them daily! Poor customer service, the staff don't know what they're talking about, different answers to questions from different staff members! Absolutely shocking! Reviewed on: 15th November 2016

Black box speed database errors

Bought policy for my son in September. First black box was faulty and replacement fitted three weeks ago. Son got 'red warning' email about speeding despite nothing in their terms explaining this. Discussions with MoreThan weren't helpful and they admitted being deliberately vague on details: interesting that as s policyholder you need to be upfront with info when asked but MoreThan can be vague on things if you ask them anything. Noticed a fe journeys where my son said he hasn't speeded but scores were dire (-10). Contacted MoreThsn twice and learnt that roads rated in their database incorrectly... for example a road near our home which is 60mph is in their database as 40mph. This meant that when my son did 48mph along it he got penalised on score and was close to having policy cancelled. Likewise major A-road near our home had been 60mph for decades... MoreThan had in their database as 50mph so again son penalised doing 56mph on that road despite being under the mandated speed limit. Net result: not rewarded for safe driving but penalised. Have complained in writing twice now and waiting their reply. I wonder how many policy holders have been penalised or had their policy cancelled because of poor speed scores when actually it's MoreThan's database which is wrong as we've proved twice (with photos) Reviewed on: 8th November 2016

Stressed

Hi, I am a 17 year old paying loads for insurance with a black box. I can't tell you enough how stressful it is by making sure you don't go over your speed limits and miles. When I got this insurance I wasn't working so it was personal use and now I'm working, I have to have business class and my insurance went up by a hell of a lot. What I am most stressed about is the miles I use, I try not to go out in the car as im scared I am going to have to pay a lot of money that me or my mum haven't got. I got told you have to pay something like £360 for extra miles that I certainly haven't got. They just make it so hard for young people to keep afloat. Going from personal use to working is going to make a difference to the miles but I wasn't to know this. They are just going to try a get as much money as they can and I think it's discussing, especially to young poor people. I really hope you read this more then smart wheels and help me resolve this horrible position that I'm in. Thank you Reviewed on: 25th October 2016

Awful customer service

More Than contacted me on several occasions to let me know that there had been a computer glitch, and that they hadn't taken out my monthly payment. They then sent 6 letters at once (all duplicates) claiming that I was the one who hadn't paid, and that I had to pay within a month etc A couple of weeks later (having called several times to sort the issue and pay outstanding payments) they started the whole process again, sending another 4 duplicate letters. When I called to ask why this kept happening and explain that I had paid, they didn't seem to have any explanation why they had got it wrong, and were not very apologetic at all. It has now happened for the third time all over again- fair to say I won't be renewing my insurance with them !! Reviewed on: 22nd October 2016
