WE ARE WHAT WE DO

1
ALOW FRAUDSTERS TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT AND STEAL YOUR MONEY,AND NOT REFUND IT Reviewed on: 20th February 2020

Terrible Experience

1
They could not process a simple mandate and its been a month. They are very slow in responding and due to their carelessness, our business had suffered financial and reputation damage. Reviewed on: 18th January 2020

Poor customer service

1
Opening an account for a small club has been a nightmare. Wrong and out of date forms, wrong guidance, half hour waits on the phone for a customer advisor and few of them actually able to give you the right information. This experience makes the Titanic incident seem like a boating lake accident. How this bank thinks it can advise on business is beyond me Reviewed on: 10th December 2019

A long and drawn out death. Avoid Natwest & RBS

1
My "Relationship Manager" (that's a funny one) in the Media & Technology department has just effectively told me off for raising a grievance and has decided to patronise me and give me the script. Rather than picking up the phone to discuss the matter like a Relationship Manager might do, he seems to think he can throw me into a process. Well thats it. Natwest Business Banking....you are dead to me. You are fat, lazy, lethargic, complacent and short sighted. Your Relationship Managers are unfit in this faster, agile world that requires so much more than you are prepared to deliver. After ten years of business banking I am uprooting. If you are an SME know this....RBS AND ALL ASSOCIATED DO NO WANT YOU. You are a pain, nothing but a credit risk and they are not interested one bit in your feeble growth story or the problems your business addresses. Your best moving to a bank who will give you the decency of at least faking sincerity. Never was comfortable with the toxic "dash for cash", Forex and GRG scandals anyway. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2019

Simply the worst

1
The application process is a nightmare, they ask for 6 months of statements and poke holes in it claiming that it is not complete, several weeks later and I just give up. Not worth getting Freeagent for free. In fact I will be cancelling my subscription with free agent because of this. Bunch of morons working there, all deserve a slap! Reviewed on: 18th November 2019

Bank with another Bank (never NATWEST)

1
such a horrible bank and customer service. by the way, I have a black account, I thought I will be well looked after. I had an issue in the past but I thought it was a one-off mistake from the bank, but I never learn the first time. My advise do not bank with NatWest. Reviewed on: 17th November 2019

Do not use!!!

1
Had my business account with natwest over a year now, never any problems. But they have completely hidden/shutdown my bussiness account. I've contacted the support line, they have said *someone* will be in touch... no time scale or anything. I have staff to pay.. I will be switching my account as soon as this matter is delt with Reviewed on: 25th October 2019

Huge hidden charges on international transactions

1
I work in the UK as a contractor for companies in both the UK and the EU. Natwest clearly state that for international payments, they charge a £7 fee. However, they also give an exchange rate several percent lower than the inter-banking exchange rate. In my case that meant a payment of approx £11,800 was reduced to £11400! The real charges are completely ridiculous. Avoid at all costs if you do any international business! I am now moving my business banking to Tide or Starling who provide the correct exchange rate and don’t charge any fees. Reviewed on: 18th July 2019

Catch 22

1
Just a massive pain, have systems that even their staff point out are frustrating at their end. Waste so much of our time, just plain unhelpful poorly trained staff who are 'dead men walking' (using the term in an un-sexist way) because they know the amount of branches being closed and staff being laid off across the organisation means their days are numbered.
