BASIC BUT DOES THE JOB

A GREAT WEE CURRENT ACCOUNT FOR DOING THE BASICS, NO FRILLS BUT GETS THE JOB DONE Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Very happy with RBS service.

Very happy with RBS service. Offered a customer health check a few years ago which helped get me the right accounts for me. Only negative is the closing of local branches but I am mostly a digital banker so I can see why they've had to do this. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2025

All round brilliant

Easy and secure app. Good interest rates. Easy to browse other savings or accounts available to you. Good accurate credit score updates. Easy to monitor and track areas of spend. Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

All round excellence....

I'm not a customer of great wealth, in fact I do have an overdraft facility which I occasionally have the need to use, however my bank (who I've been with since the early 1980s) have always treated me respectfully and offered assistance when they felt I needed it and which at times I have accepted. They have looked after me personally when I had a local branch, and are now continuing to do so over the internet. My account fluctuates due to the fact my pension date changes, but they take this into consideration and always inform me when I am about to go into my overdraft. This account has suited my needs and RBS have always been fair and helpful and have always been there for me. I would, and have done many times, recommended RBS to friends and family. Needless to say I would never change banks; why should I when, as such a lowly customer, I receive such excellent service. Reviewed on: 27th February 2025

They're fine if you're too lazy to find better

They're fine if you want a basic bank account with no interest or perks and can overlook their involvement in most financial scandals. Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Scammed..

Received a text from rbs telling us of fraudulent activity on our current account.Attempted to contact fraud on three occasions.On each occasion contact was cut off.As cards and my account had been closed down I was unable to access any funds .On visiting our Coatbridge branch we were assisted by a member of staff (Gillian) who made contact with the Fraud Department on our behalf.Her input helped resolve the problem .Thanks again Gillian.
