Sainsburys Bank Nectar Credit Card from Hell

Easy to purchase, but monstrous to use. I am charged every month with huge interest within my 28 months interest free contract although I make some card spending and make monthly repayments. The worst credit card ever. Ancient bank system. Takes days for money transfer when making payments to the card. Why not pay interest for few more days.... Pure money stealing and nothing you can do about it.. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Reviewed on: 18th November 2016

Thiefs

Have a 0% agreement with Sainsburys until 2024. They keep trying to charge me hundreds of pounds interest each month even though the card isn't used at all, I am purely paying the balance off on the transfer. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Reviewed on: 30th August 2023

Credit card with rewards

I've had this credit card for about 5 years and everything has always run really smoothly. Plus I get extra Nectar points every month which help with my shopping bill Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

Good value Credit Card

The application was easy, I had a response very quickly and my card and credit on it were available straight away. I was able to use this and help me through a sticky patch where income wasn't meeting outgoings for a short time and it really helped. It also boosted my credit score for another financial product I might need. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Not much Nectar

The additional Nectar points for using Sainsburys Bank's Nectar Credit Card at Sainsburys have been reduced from 2 per pound spent to 0.5 per pound spent. Being charitable to them this halves rather than quarters the total Nectar points from 3 (£0.015) per pound to 1.5 (£0.075) per pound. Nectar has always underperformed Boots Advantage and this does nothing to help. Also I was once charged for currency conversion when paying a UK organisation in pounds! Reviewed on: 20th April 2023

Easy credit card

Sainsbury's offers a decent 0%interest credit card. The main perk of this is adding Nectar points everytime you shop, particularly if you shop with them or fuel at certain Esso's. However, if you use their card abroad the charges that you have to pay are extortionate! Reviewed on: 28th March 2023

Not sure what is going on with this bank...

Applied for a credit card in which I get 10k points if I spend £400 within 2 months. Card didn't arrive after 2 weeks. Called and had to hold for 40 minutes to speak to someone. No reason given why card hadn't arrived, just told it didn't appear to have been ordered. So, now I have less time to spend the £400... not great. Then tried to apply for a savings account via their app but couldn't as my address details needed updating. Sent a message and was told I had to call them (message received over a week later by which time I had opened a savings account elsewhere). Ordered my husband a card. Received a message asking for further info. At no point does the app tell you that you have a message as there's no notifications so I just assumed there was an issue and ordered it again. Only by chance did I check my messages. Not a very good way of doing business Reviewed on: 3rd February 2023
