Opening an online ISA not to easy..

Opening an online ISA proved not to be as easy as I had hoped. Once application is done you need to wait on post delivering your account and logon details. Then to transfer an existing ISA to my new SBS ISA required downloading a ISA transfer form, filling it in and they requested 'posting' form. All this takes a lot of time, I called and managed to get a very helpful person on the help desk who gave me an email address, I then scanned my ISA transfer form and emailed details to SBS. I have been taking out ISAs for a number of years and normally all transactions and transfers are done online. Scottish BS must lose customers with their cumbersome methods, I nearly gave up think I would run out of time with my existing ISA maturing date fast approaching. However I have emailed the form and fingers crossed all will be well. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025

Today Natalie Macdonald has been the Face of Scottish Building Society and as such deserves to be awarded 11 out of 10 by her Line Manager. I have been unable to access my online ISA account since February 21st. After four attempts by staff unable to sort the problem Natalie has today resolved the situation with care and understanding Thank you so much Natalie. It has been a very frustrating and trying time. Competitive, friendly, efficient

The range of products available, interest rates which compete favourably with other companies. Being used to dealing with staff in Inverness I find the girls very friendly and efficient in their knowledge of the products. Reviewed on: 11th March 2025

Change of details.

I had to call the Society's customer services to resolve my inability to change the details of my linked bank account. The person who answered my call was polite and efficient, although she could not resolve the issue there and then. However, I followed her advice and the issue was successfully resolved within the hour. Reviewed on: 10th March 2025

We have only used the building society online. The main thing we like about this place is the fact that transactions are shown in a small book where it is easy to keep track of savings, unlike others where you are sent many pieces of paper yearly which is difficult. Reviewed on: 10th March 2025
