Rip off! Avoid like the plague

Disgusted with Tesco Car Insurance. I move to a nicer area, have a driveway now instead of parking on street, few years no claims behind me... somehow this bumps my monthly payments up to 150% of what they were. So I complain, they invite me to cancel the policy and they'll waive the fee. I get a quote for half the price with better cover from Hastings. Go to cancel with Tesco and they say "That'll be £100+ please" - Hang on, what was that about the waived cancellation fee?! Well, it's obviously a not-a-cancellation-fee-but-is-a-fee-for-cancelling-which-is-totally-different. Terrible service and I certainly won't be considering them for any insurance in future. It's Cheap but not the best

I got a quote for my car a through comparison site and TB turned out to be cheapest. I called them and bought it and later I realised that info in documents they sent is not correct (mismatch between what I originally filled in comparison site application and documents that TB has sent). I called them to correct it and to my shock they said my premium has gone up and I ended up paying that difference. What's the point of offering cheap premiums first and charging customers later. they should make sure their systems are in sync with comparison sites. Reviewed on: 27th September 2016

Customer Service Exceptional

I renewed my car insurance this year with Tesco Bank for the second year running, not only were they the cheapest on the comparison sites, the gentleman i spoke to was so helpful and polite. He did his upmost to get the quote as cheap as possible for me and was really friendly and made it a really positive experience. So much so i recommended them to my husband for his own car and he renewed with them also via telephone and spoke to another customer service rep who again was faultless, friendly, helpful and polite. Only out for the money not for the customer

I have got fully comprehensive car insurance with Tesco's I had an accident and I've got witnesses but Tesco's will not provide me with a courtesy car and told me I have to wait 48 days for the third-party to respond to the witness statements before I would get a courtesy car absolutely disgusting and customer services are very rude and really don't care about you Reviewed on: 9th September 2016

A return to the fat cat old days????

9 months into my car policy and thought about buying a much smaller cheaper car to run (Fiat Panda) than my current car (Vauxhall Omega). My premium was going to jump £154 for the remaining quarter despite the Panda being in group 3 and the Omega in group 22. I won't bother to try to understand Reviewed on: 9th September 2016
