Delay after delay after delay

Daughters first mortgage, she made this clear from start. Tried to support her myself as much as possible while watching her experience the real world & learn from it. Virgin Money in my opinion (she wont disagree) were diabolical with their general handling throughout process. I appreciate pandemic etc but over 2 months to handle straight forward transactions etc is utterly abysmal. Communication wasn't much better than general performance. Appointment clearly advised as 17th when phoned to see why had not been phoned ended up going ahead a week later. When finally think we're getting there, they advise Home Report is out of date?! Home report was advised to them start of process, takes weeks with no update for them to advise 6 weeks into process sorry valuation is over 3 months old needs redone...gets redone astonishingly quickly & emailed through....not acknowledged & having to chase, TWO WEEKS later still awaiting final decision....diabolical. Took over £1000 in error from us

Virgin mortgages took £1,169.30 in error from my current account. No apology, no compensation. We are now in are over draft and after trying to get through 3 times, finally we’re told it was a glitch in their system and it would be refunded in 10 working days. Not good enough. Loss for words

I will never use Virgin Mortgages again and will NEVER recommend. My husband has the mortgage of our home in his name solely. We would like me adding to it. No additional borrowing. They have now decided that our 2 incomes As opposed to just his one means we now can’t afford it! How is this even possible!! A total shambles. DO NOT USE Reviewed on: 9th June 2023

They are ok

Virgin money gave the best rate at the time but were quite tricky to get to a final acceptance stage and their online platform isn't very easy to use or stable. Overall ok Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

Worst mortgage company ever

This company offers the worst service possible impossible to get in touch with them via the phone lines are still closed at 09:30 when online it says open at 08:00 and they never respond to any of your queries unless you keep chasing them. Virgin money ...what they tell you and what they do is completely different! 3 times I've phone to rectify a mortgage issue .3 times I've clarified the outcome to the point of simplicity....3 times the correspondence states something completely different !! Worst mortgage provider ever

Do not recommend using this company for mortgages, we have an application for a remortgage on our property and they have honestly been hell to deal with, on going complains since June/july, still not sorted. The underwriters are idiots, the staff don’t know what the hell they are doing, taken us about 53 hours so far and still not sorted, despite excellent credit, preapproval for money back, great books, they are now asking for books that are due in January 31st, irrelevant to our application that aren’t even legally due in, have made a huge complaint to the financial obudsman and they are even having to compensate us all the interest for that last 3 months and still they can’t do there jobs right, AVOID AVOID AVOID!
