Excellent product and healthcare plan Reviewed on: 21st August 2022

Extremely dissapointing

Unfortunately, I have had to use the services of my policy more often that I wanted. Everytime I have made a claim it has been a nightmare. Several calls, several emails, ages to get simple things. I am in the middle of a treatment and they have just decided that they don´t cover more tests regarding this condition. I am paying for fully cover and they have considered that it is now a routine treatment when it is not. Are they doctors to decide or just a mafia making money thanks to the people´s health? I am not interesting for them because I am not as healthy as they wanted? So sorry for that but I would prefer to not being using this shitty services first of all for my health and secondly for not treating for this kind of people. Reviewed on: 19th December 2017

Working in Vitality

This company is definitely one of the worst company to work for , pride its self on healthy lifestyles brand, however a lot of there staffs are not healthy and suffer from work related stress, you have to work 50-60 hours a week in order to achieve there unachievable sales target even thou you only contracted to 37hrs , you don't get paid for the overtime and if you raise the issue up with management you get sacked, the pro is you get free bananas for you had work every Monday . How organizations like this is still in existence only GOD knows Reviewed on: 7th August 2017

Good cover with perks

The Vitality rewards programme is actually really worth considering. You can get some really good discounts such as saving money on bicycles or a trip to a Champneys Spa amongst others. If you take the time to sign up it can be addictive! Reviewed on: 21st July 2017

Awful claims process

1
Twice now I have contacted vitality and ended up paying for a private health service on a payg option as it was faster. The first time I was in excruciating pain with my hips and after my nhs GP ran blood tests and X-rays to tell me everything was normal I contacted vitality as clearly it wasn't. I needed a triage call to advise on which physiotherapist I could see under my policy and the call was scheduled. Only I never received the call and when I contacted customer services was told they'd called and I hadn't answered. Totally not the case as I was sitting phone in hand waiting for the call not to mention no voicemail received from them. So I paid to see a physiotherapist myself. This time I've discovered a lump in my neck so rather than wait 3 weeks to see my nhs GP I paid to see a bupa GP who instantly referred me to a specialist. So I called vitality to see which specialist I was authorised to go to under my policy only to be told I needed to see my GP and fill out a form and then they would assess the claim before making the appointment for me. Nhs would be faster!!!!! Reviewed on: 14th July 2017

***AVOID - AT ALL COSTS*** - South African Gimmick 'Health Provider'

1
***AVOID - AT ALL COSTS*** - South African Gimmick 'Health Provider' I have been with Vitality for 14 months. My wife and I have put in several doctors referrals, service is so slow, unfriendly staff, you are better off with the NHS (there is no value at all here). It takes months to get any claim approved and even then most are rejected. They are awful over the phone (e.g. they make you feel like a criminal rather than a customer). I have advised my company to use another provided as they add no value as a 'healthcare provider'. Go with more trustworthy UK company e.g. Bupa Reviewed on: 19th June 2017

Waste of money

1
It's quicker to go NHS than get vitality to answer a phone . I've cancelled my plan and am paying cash to see a dermatologist for a simple skin rash Reviewed on: 20th December 2016

No Complaints

I have seen some negative reviews and believe people very quick to moan but slow at praise. I have been with them for about 4 years and never had a major issue. A couple of minor technical issues a couple of years ago, which they sorted out, no problem. I love the preventative health incentives and feel better for it. Thank you Vitality Reviewed on: 17th November 2016

Bad health plan AND inefficient/rude customer service

2
First, I was happy with the plan because we have all those rewards, etc. But then I experienced some "technical problems" (as they say) which resulted by never receiving those rewards. E.g: never receiving the Starbucks free drinks even with the maximum points and even if you asked multiple times to fix the problem. The solution according to them is for you to buy the drink and send them the receipt (every week? really? No thanks). If you are not happy with this solution and you just want the problem to be fixed, you will get a "fuck off" answer. In other words, they don't care whether you get the rewards or not and if you are happy about it or not. The worst is when you make a claim, expect to be charge a lot the following year. In my case, I needed to see a physiotherapist, which I did only 5 times. Well, the following year, the price of my plan raise by 30%!!! I would want to read reviews before subscribing with them so I will post this everywhere so people know that Vitality is not a good company. STAY AWAY. Reviewed on: 11th November 2016

Truly dreadful!!!

Truly dreadful!!! They gave approval for treatment over the phone and then once the treatment had been done, they backtracked and said it wasn't covered and were not going to pay!! Vitality Health is all gimmicks (free coffees and cinema tickets) and no substance. Reviewed on: 13th September 2016
