I did a pension transfer from Aegon to Aviva & Aegon...

I did a pension transfer from Aegon to Aviva & Aegon didn’t send all of the money to Aviva. About 10 months later they said to transfer the rest of it I need to take financial advice again. Which means paying for that advice, but it’s their problem, Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Best to go somewhere else.

Deliberately poor customer service; emails - long an...

Deliberately poor customer service; emails - long and useless responses I'm have been trying since January to take out parts of my private pension fund, first year last so easy I wanted to do same for following years, this if starting from zero, now November they still making excuses even though I have provided everything needed. Would prefer to be dealing though something with intelligence not a time wasting human. Reviewed on: 4th December 2025

Awful service.

I recently got married and changed my name. When i called them to advise they said I had to send my original marriage certificate to them for them to change my name. When they returned my certificate back to me, they had folded it in half and put it in an A5 envelope instead of A4 damaging my certificate by putting a huge folded crease down the middle. I am absolutely fuming that there was no thought put into returning an original document ina n A4 envelope as sent. I rang to complain and they said it can take up to 8 weeks to get a response. I hsve sent my certificate to a few companies who always returned as sent A4 in a hardback envelope. Im am so disappointed at the lack of care and attention- service is shocking.! MAKING THE WHOLE PROCESS AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE

Absolutely appaling service, they clearly don't want you to move you pension to another provider. I have completed so many forms only to be asked for further forms with their due diligence. The money should have been transferred this week after they have delayed since May on to be asked for a letter from my employer, how much they will be paying in, another letter asking for my employment record. Bank statements that had to be certified, history of contributions. They have made the whole process incredibly stressful and have created unacceptable delays. Terrible performance

Awful performance of investments. Awful performance of website. The fees are high and eat all of the returns. Only reason my holding value grows is because I pay in. If I was able to move away, I would but my employer pays in as well. Good job too, I'm going to need every penny I can get due to the miss-management this shower provide me with. Loads of hidden charges, changing funds takes ages. No that there is a very wide range of funds anyway. There is no help or research facilities available on the website or the app. Shocking that we have to endure this kind of treatment today. Not that the funds they do offer are any good; the shrink further and faster than the market and they always recover lower than the market. On very metric imaginable, aegon underperform the rest of the world. Quite a feat really. Your better off with a cash I.S.A., or your country's equivalent. Reviewed on: 3rd September 2025
