They were ok up to a point however they cancelled my policy as soon as i moved address which has put me off ever recommending them. This left me with the inconvenience of finding a new insurer before the end of my premium expiry date with no notice. Upon speaking to adviser I was told they do not insurer cars within my new postcode and therefore my insurance would become invalid from that day onwards and I would need to look elsewhere for cover. I’ve been a loyal customer of AXA for years, but my recent experience with them has been extremely disappointing. When I found a cheaper quote elsewhere and asked if AXA could match it, I was told outright that this wasn’t possible and that I should look elsewhere. It felt like my loyalty as a long-term customer wasn’t valued at all. Despite raising concerns about how my renewal premium was calculated, I received vague, generic responses that lacked transparency. AXA claims they follow FCA regulations, but they refused to provide a clear explanation of how my renewal price was determined, leaving me questioning their fairness. To make matters worse, AXA imposes a £52.50 cancellation fee, which they justify with routine administrative tasks like updating the Motor Insurance Database. This fee feels excessive and unfair, especially given that switching providers was my only real option due to their unwillingness to negotiate or clarify their pricing. Overall, AXA’s approach feels dismissive of customer loyalty and overly rigid. They seem more interested in pushing customers to shop around than retaining them by offering competitive pricing or addressing concerns properly. I’ve escalated my complaint, but based on this experience, I won’t be returning to AXA in the future. I wouldn’t recommend AXA if you value transparency, loyalty, or flexibility from your insurance provider. There are better options out there. Rating: 1/5 Reviewed on: 27th November 2024

10yr no claims. Increased premium by £400

I have had a driving licence 12yr. Had a car for 10. With 10years no claims they increased my premium by almost £400 and then tried to blame increased costs. What a load of rubbish. No way does my 2000 miles annually need a 85% increase in premium. Absolute joke of a company Reviewed on: 4th April 2024

My Car was damaged in a repair shop recommended by AxA ,The repair shop admitted the damage then denied it then said they caused some of the damage. AxA insurance have been of no help with this after repeated emails and phone calls they have done nothing and I have had to take this to the insurance ombudsman. Reviewed on: 14th January 2024

Worse insurance company ever

I was involved in a non fault accident, British Gas driver accepted liability of the occasion and Axa being my insurance dealt with them and at the end Axa asked me to pay £500 access on a non fault accident and they said that cos I decided to fix my car at a garage I know and not the one they wanted to me to too even tho they never asked me to go to any garage all they said the garage has to be VAT registered !! Worst Experience with AXA Insurance

Subject: Extremely Disappointing Experience with AXA Insurance I am deeply dissatisfied with my ongoing claim experience with AXA Insurance, which has extended over 40 days without resolution. Despite making over 20 calls, I consistently receive assurances that someone will call me back, but regrettably, no one does. Each of the 20 agents I've spoken to made promises to escalate my claim, assured me of callbacks by week's end, and pledged actions that were never fulfilled. This string of broken commitments reflects the incompetence of AXA Insurance in handling my case, causing me considerable distress. My car remains stranded in a compound, despite my persistent requests for its return in every conversation. The confirmation of the claim amount is inexplicably delayed, as engineers still grapple with a decision after 40 days of evaluation. After more than 20 years of dealing with various car insurance providers, AXA Insurance has proven to be the worst in terms of service, communication, and overall customer experience. I strongly caution others against insuring anything with this company based on my regrettable and ongoing ordeal. Reviewed on: 9th December 2023

What are horrible insurance company with very poor customer service

I would have given no stars if it had that option. Don't waste your time with your money there are far better insurance companies if you try to make a claim on your policy that will give you all the rebuttals of why they should not pay you out on your policy and mine was about a TV and they wouldn't even help with that and they had the cheek to say we are renewing your policy. I had been ignored for almost 2 months with no contact ( I’ve send many reminders), only when starting to review them I been contacted and asked to provide documents that doesn’t exist, so don’t waste your time and money,! Reviewed on: 5th November 2023
