They let me down this time

I have been very happy with direct line but lately I was very disappointed the way they are dealing with my claim. Lack of communication and I am feeling being ignored by the company. There is no way to make an official complaint on their website and after staying on line I was told to write an email to ....company who knows what??!!! Was with Direct Line for a number of years in my early twenties and premiums came down year on year. Then one year my renewal came and without any particular reason they increased it by £200+. Thought they might match everyone else on the market due to my customer loyalty, but they didn't budge on the premium. Also had a nightmare trying to speak to staff in outsourced call centres, and felt that they sent out too much useless paperwork. Would think hard before going with them again. They are rip off merchants. I have been with them over 15 years. I get a speeding fine, which wasnt my fault - the court acknowledge it went to the wrong address, so I missed the chance of speed awareness. Suddenly, my insurance is up £200 per year!! ! Reviewed on: 13th March 2016

Charges for certificates of insurance to be faxed. Charges for car in their possession, which had been written off. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole next time! Reviewed on: 11th March 2016

I have been with direct line for about 5 years and they have good although I have been experiencing some problems lately. I have been involved in an car accident where the other party declares that he is "reversed and he felt a bump to find out that I was reversing at the same time". It s clear that he was not even looking as he felt a bump!!!. My insurance is trying to make me pay for the half. I feel that they are not defending but they rather close the case for their benefit. I claimed though them and it was so quick and easy you hear horror stories but not my experience with Direct line luckily, the staff are always helpful can take a while to get through though by phone if you need them, always take other products I have with them into account and I receive discount.
