Charges for certificates of insurance to be faxed. Charges for car in their possession, which had been written off. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole next time! Reviewed on: 11th March 2016

Very good company although they are applying charges like the others

I have been with direct line for about 5 years and they have good although I have been experiencing some problems lately. I have been involved in an car accident where the other party declares that he is "reversed and he felt a bump to find out that I was reversing at the same time". It s clear that he was not even looking as he felt a bump!!!. My insurance is trying to make me pay for the half. I feel that they are not defending but they rather close the case for their benefit. I claimed though them and it was so quick and easy you hear horror stories but not my experience with Direct line luckily, the staff are always helpful can take a while to get through though by phone if you need them, always take other products I have with them into account and I receive discount. Had a great quote from them, were very easy to deal with and set up. the only downside is that they refused to accept our Dutch no Claims bonus of 16 years! Even though it was from an international insurer, written in english ect. Reviewed on: 26th February 2016

I have been with Direct Line for 8 years now, and for the past 5 years, I have had a multi car insurance. Very competitive rates and great cover. Had the unfortunate accident at the end of last year. It was very straight forward when claiming. I was kept informed throughout. Best of all, all was done in a timely manner at a time to suit my needs. Great cover, great rates, great service.
