We have used Direct Line to insure our pet cats for years. Sadly our cat Mog was diagnosed with a rare heart complaint which was very traumatic and worrying as several overnight stays at the vets were incurred plus endless tests. Direct Line after one initial call dealt with the vets team meaning we didn't have to worry about paying the bills for Mogs care. They took great care of her and made sure the rest of her time with us was pain free and comfortable until she passed away peacefully. I reccomend Direct Line pet insurance to anyone.

I had a bad experience when I first took insurance out for my new puppy. We took her to the vets as a precautionary measure when she had loose bowels due to her new food. This visit overlapped with us taking the policy out and Direct Line put 2 year conditional exclusions on her policy regarding her whole body, bar her head. It was very difficult to communicate with them.

When it was time to renew the insurance cost had gone up by £10 a month, which was about a 30% increase!
As I had not made a claim I rang up to see if I could get a better deal. The customer service agent was polite, friendly and really helpful. They checked my account and gave me a loyalty discount and discussed ways in which I could reduce the cost further.
