Great comms

Great comms and a lovely service where I can call a vet to talk through my pets symptoms before booking in with a chargeable vet.

Pet insurance help

Direct line are always so easy to deal with, our vet just sends off the forms for us. Although they are extra busy during Covid they have kept us updated on the claim process. Would always recommend.

My cat Bee was unfortunately knocked down and we thought we were going to lose her. If it had not have been for direct line stepping in and taking over all the financial parts then it would have been a lot more stressful. We called them to explain... Read more

My cat Bee was unfortunately knocked down and we thought we were going to lose her. If it had not have been for direct line stepping in and taking over all the financial parts then it would have been a lot more stressful. We called them to explain what had happened and they responded straight away and organised for her to be treated at her vets. I didnt have to worry about anything. Bee fully recovered and igruly believe it's because direct line were so fast in responding and getting her the treatment she needed. I would definitely recommend

Easy pet insurance

When I got both my kittens recently it was so easy to set up their cover. The quote online was easy to understand, staff on the phone were very helpful and when I changed some details on it again very helpful.

All my pets are insured by Direct Line and when Charlie cat was hit by a car earlier this year I knew they would take care of the vet bill. He needed several overnight stays and surgery and I was very relieved that I had their insurance and it was so easy to make a claim. He’s back to his old self now.

No problems

We have a diabetic cat and they deal directly with the vets on an ongoing basis making it extremely easy and manageable for us, taking any stress away from the process.

Although direct line eventually paid out for my dogs hydrotherapy sessions there was a lot of confusion and I ended up having to put in the claim three times before it was processed.

We have used Direct Line to insure our pet cats for years. Sadly our cat Mog was diagnosed with a rare heart complaint which was very traumatic and worrying as several overnight stays at the vets were incurred plus endless tests. Direct Line after one initial call dealt with the vets team meaning we didn't have to worry about paying the bills for Mogs care. They took great care of her and made sure the rest of her time with us was pain free and comfortable until she passed away peacefully. I reccomend Direct Line pet insurance to anyone.

I had a bad experience when I first took insurance out for my new puppy. We took her to the vets as a precautionary measure when she had loose bowels due to her new food. This visit overlapped with us taking the policy out and Direct Line put 2 year conditional exclusions on her policy regarding her whole body, bar her head. It was very difficult to communicate with them.

why I chose Direct Line

After doing my research I found Direct Line had the best value for money, no percentage of claim in addition to the excess. I had a couple of queries which were quickly answered by a quick phone call.

When it was time to renew the insurance cost had gone up by £10 a month, which was about a 30% increase!
As I had not made a claim I rang up to see if I could get a better deal. The customer service agent was polite, friendly and really helpful. They checked my account and gave me a loyalty discount and discussed ways in which I could reduce the cost further.
