Great easy experience buying our first home.

Really helpful mortgage advisor who went out of her way to find us a convenient appointment, went through everything clearly and then called us straight away when there was a slight problem, which wasn't one at all. Useless untrained, unprofessional

2 months into our application and still no further than day 1. Delay after delay has been made by Halifax as they are using untrained inexperienced underwriters. Requesting document after document even though they had already received these documents previously. Escalated to their senior management who ignored the escalation and didnt even have the respect to respond. Constantly tried to upsell insurances. Spend 1 and hour hours on phone then give a form to fill in repeating the whole process. We Wouldn't Change From Our Halifax Mortgage

We usually take on a fixed rate as the mortgage continues and we have been very happy over the years (now at 27 with 6 to go - we had a remortgage) they are always very helpful and I wouldn't change from them. Reviewed on: 9th June 2024
