I recently applied for a mortgage with HINCKLEY AND RUGBY BUILDING SOCIETY and was initially approved for £288,000. However, the offer was unexpectedly reduced to £273,000 without a clear explanation. Despite paying a £199 application fee, I have yet to receive a refund, despite multiple attempts to contact customer service. This sudden change caused significant stress and wasted valuable time. I believe the lender's initial assessment was flawed, as the discrepancy of £15,000 is too large to be attributed to a simple error. Additionally, I am disappointed that my bonus was not fully considered in the initial decision-making process. If you are considering applying for a mortgage with HINCKLEY AND RUGBY BUILDING SOCIETY, I would advise caution. Interesting interest.

Called into the Coalville branch to redesign my savings plan. After completing a previous plan I received some quality service from the Staff about a new plan. They helped me to go thru' the application form after choosing a reasonable interest bearing savings plan. I found HRBS an efficient company with High street branches for customers to seek advise an decide, in the comfort of their office, which plan to go for. A very friendly, efficient Building Society. Unfortunately I was required to provide further documentation as part of the checks to open an account which I had done via postal application. That said, I found the telephone contact made to sort this out to be polite and efficient. It was reassuring to receive regular contact via phone about the progress of my successful application. Opening an account at Coaville Branch

I have current and savings acounts with the Coalville bank branch of Lloyds bank. With possible closure of the branch, I decided to check out the remaining local financial institutions particularly for savings. A few weeks ago, I checked with the Coalvile branch of the H & R Building Society of their closure, they said no. On Saturday 25th November I went in to open a savings account. I had the various savings accounts explained to me, decided on the one to suit my needs and within 1/2 an hour the account was open.
