Worth considering

The service in the branch was very good. I was on a strict time limit re the car park and the counter staff tried hard to accommodate that. Having said that the Hinckley and Rugby has limitations regarding its systems and procedures. For instance you can not open a savings product online. Also. it was a bit irritating that to open any new savings account you have to fill in a questionnaire comprising of several pages, even when I have been a customer for perhaps 30 years continuously, had an existing savings account and have held several over the years. The great majority of the information requested they would already have on their systems! Also, they are unable to update the old passbook with closing interest, give out the passbook for the new product, or make a payment to you in branch for the balance being withdrawn. These have to be posted out to you later. Reviewed on: 28th May 2025

I visited the Lutterworth Branch, to enquire about the differing accounts on offer, after receiving a letter regarding the change in interest rates. I had no qualms in keeping my savings in a local and trusted Building Society, especially with the Lutterworth Team, who are particularly helpful and articulate. Reviewed on: 21st May 2025
