Great Building Society to invest money.

I invested some of my pension lump sum 6 years ago into a rainy day 90 day notice account. I get a reasonable interest rate without having to continually change to different accounts. Unlike other banks, I still have a branch local to me so can visit them as and when I need to make a withdrawal. Reviewed on: 20th April 2026

Staff are a bit hit and miss

Some of the older staff are a bit strict and make you feel silly for asking questions. The younger ones are lovely :). The opening times are a bit daft, and I've seen better interest rates. However, it is pretty bang average in all departments. Reviewed on: 20th April 2026

Kind and helpful staff.

The interest rate on my current savings are excellent. Because of old age I had trouble logging in and got locked out of my account. The staff were very kind and patient helping to put it right- couldn't do enough for me! Reviewed on: 20th April 2026

I go to the Hinckley &Rugby Building Society in Broughton Astley and Hinckley. I have got to say what wonderful Staff they are. There is nothing which is too much trouble for them to help you with. They are all extremely friendly, greeting you with a big hello and I find that when I leave the building we have always had a chat and a laugh. I feel they are more like friends.
