What a diabolical financial institution with no customer service. No support offered albeit on a short term basis. Call staff simply read from a script and if computer says no then that is that. You are not listened to, personal circumstances not taken into account, loyalty and impeccable credit history counts for nothing. I will be closing my account and go to a bank that shows a sense of compassion and empathy during the worst global economic crisis since WW2 and that look after the more vulnerable in society not just the heavy investors that line the pockets of the fat cats. The icing on the cake for me was when I asked for an email address so I could outline my situation in writing I was told that no email address available as not business critical (??!!) and I was to write to my branch should I feel the need!!! Really? In the 21st century that is the only way to correspond with your bank?? Disgraceful Reviewed on: 17th December 2022

A solid and reputable international bank

Hsbc has been my bank for over 17 years and they offered me assistance regarding money matters over the years. They have affordable insurance aspects that I am able to use whenever it suits me. They are easy to speak with and easy to contact. They agents are very helpful and gives you easy instructions to follow when you need guidance. When you speak on an agent on the phone, they are not judgemental with your circumstances. Hence I recommended the bank to my cousins who just arrived in UK, and we will still be able to access HSBC bank services in our birth country or any major cities around the world. Even my daughter started banking with HSBC since she was in secondary school and was doing her own transactions online. I had a very poor experience with HSBC, when I became victim of a fraud and reported this. I was passed from departments to departments over 6 months to receive a threatening final decision letter informing me if I escalate myconcerns further I will be restricted from access to financial services across UK.
