Review of the Lloyds Bank, Car insurance:

Car Insurance Renewal

1
Been driving for 50 odd yrs only ever had 1 non fault claim some 15yrs ago, been with Lloyds car insurance for several years and just received my renewal, last yr was £434 this year £898 absolutely disgusting Reviewed on: 27th March 2024

simple insurance

I did my insurance through a comparison website and Lloyds was the cheapest. I have not had any issues and the process was simple and quick. Reviewed on: 9th October 2016

Fair, reliable and friendly

I insured my car with Lloyds Bank - didn't give it a second thought after taking out the insurance, it was all very easy. Then, I had to scrap my car on the weekend *sob*. I nearly cried at the scrapyard, the poor old thing still drove perfectly, but the MOT would have cost too much. Anyway, I phoned Lloyds Bank to cancel my insurance. The adviser I spoke was really friendly and offered hims condolences. I didn't get charged an 'early cancellation fee', and even have £2.97 winging it's way to me as I had a week left of my policy! Woo hoo! Reviewed on: 19th September 2016

Just cancelled... :-(

Customer service rude and charge you wrong than credit controll call you that you owe them money I you should pay immediatly. I did not let it just go so asked for supervisor why is this charge and why they are so rude. Waited 1.5 hour on the phone when was told all is customer service fault so call them. I was transfered, waited an other 30 minutes when agreed to pay and they appologised for the mistache. Next morning got a call from credit controll that I owe them money and need to settle immediatly. Complained them and was promised that they close my account when the fund will be cleared. Conclusion: customer services (right hand) and credit controll (left hand) are separate department and right hand dont know what the left hand is doing. Never going to use them again. I am banking with Lloyds and as babk never had any problem in the last 9 years.... Reviewed on: 1st September 2016

Bad Car Insurance - Lloyds Bank

1
I would urge all new customer to avoid Lloyds insurance. I renewed my car insurance comprehensive cover with Lloyds back in December 2015 thinking that I have a cheap insurance. I provided all evidence of my NCB and then I received an email telling me that I am insured for a year. Apparently I had to learn a hard lesson with Lloyds to learn that my insurance was cancelled in February 2016 without informing me. I was driving on the road for 28 days without insurance and stopped by the police to learn that I do not have insurance. My car was impounded. I had to pay a huge cost to get my car back, 6points and plus increase insurance premium from £800 to £2000 for next 5 year. With all my cost together I have spent £3k. A big stress I never expected with an insurance company. Even though, I paid upfront to Lloyds on my insurance but I am still branded as a criminal; avoiding insurance. Lloyds claims that they issued me with cancellation letters but I never received. I have called Lloyds that they knew I was not receiving letters so that could have emailed or called me. Lloyds policy is not to send emails or call customers if insurance policy is due cancellation. If you try to complain to the manager does not speak to you and person dealing with is the customer services advisor totally unhelpful. Please please avoid this company. I am dealing with ombudsman now to clear my name and get my life back. Reviewed on: 10th July 2016

avoid using this company for your car insurance. customer services are shocking. nobody knows what they are doing. pass you around in circles

I have a car insurance policy with lloyds. Someone rear ended my car this week (not my fault). I made a big mistake of phoning Lloyds to make a claim. I assumed as it was 3rd party fault I wouldn't be penalised. Little did I realise my excess would be payable and I was at risk of losing my no claims discount. I phoned up within 24 hours to cancel the claim as the 3rd party insurer was more than happy to help. Much more helpful than Lloyds to be honest. Today I received a phone call from Enterprise on instruction from Lloyd's offering me a car while my goes in at TWK Thomas in Swansea, as far as I was concerned the claim had been shut down, clearly not. My online service centre also shows a claim logged against me as well. It is not a claim, it is a notification. Lloyds Bank car insurance have done nothing and paid no money to anybody. I have been trying all week to get this removed, customer services pass me back and forth to AXA and the claims department. Nobody at Lloyds Bank car insurance seems to know what they are doing. I'm sick to the back teeth will never use any of Lloyds services again. I last spoke to Olivia in the claims team, who said that the claim hadn’t been changed to a notification only despite my several phone calls throughout the week to both customer services and the claims department. She advised me to speak to customer services to get the claim removed from my self service centre. Something I have already done and nobody has bothered to resolve or action. Quick enough to try and pass you on to a personal injury department, they are very enthusiastic about that matter, Staff are incompetent, Not Helpful and will pass the buck to another department wherever possible Reviewed on: 1st July 2016
