Relationship mangers are inept and have zero business sense

I've banked with Lloyds for business for a few years now, had terrible experiences of trying to get anything done. Their relationship manager and clients services team cannot complete the most simple of jobs. I do wonder if their Manchester office staff have some kind of drug addiction problem. Charges

A child takes the contents of their money box and gets paid interest. I pay in thousands of pounds electronically and get charged for it! They should have more personal contact, and less charges. Reviewed on: 21st March 2017

Very hard to communicate with their call centre. Incompetence and excessive charges.

Had a business account with Lloyds to gain higher interest on a lump sum. There were monthly charges I was not expecting. It was very hard to communicate - call one number, wait 5 minutes, speak to an operator for a while, passed to another number, wait another 5 minutes! Incompetence - the 'needed to fin out' if a particular account had been shut - why would they need to ask me - it's their account? Could it be a delaying tactic to stop me closing the account? Then they charge £30 to transfer the money from my account to a business account at another bank. Useless! Reviewed on: 9th December 2016

Go out of thier way not to help!

Took 40 minutes and 4 people to give me another contact number! Spoke last week re a complex issue that they couldn't answer, told me they would ring back in 10 mins, 3 days and still no contact... No dedicated relationship managers any more, only call centres that take for ever to answer your call and then have no in depth knowledge of your business. Seems they dont like small businesses any-longer. 0345 # costs 55p from Vodafone, beware of calling them unless you have a bundle for 0345 numbers.. Think they drag out length of calls to take share of call cost. I'm off with my half a million to mMetro bank who are face to face and are open 8-8 every working day. Think Lloyds are heading for the scrapheap. Reviewed on: 2nd December 2016

Polite people, but they can't fix things that don't work

From as soon as I started trading my business bank has not accepted incoming payments. I now have over £4,000 sitting with clients waiting to be paid into my account, but it just bounces. When I make a test payment from my personal account, that doesn't work either, so it's not my clients' fault. Every time I ring up (four so far) people apologise nicely, and say that the technical team are looking into it and will ring me back. They don't. This has been going on for over a month. Don't touch this bank. They are wasting loads of their and your time and money apologising on the phone instead of fixing whatever is wrong. Reviewed on: 21st November 2016

I have been in contact with Lloyds Bank for over 3 weeks in an attempt to start up a business account. My last contact promised that a Business account Manager would be in touch with me iminently. This did not happen. This morning I got an interview with one of their competitors straight away. Lloyds attitude seems to be one of complacency! Reviewed on: 17th November 2016

Very Poor Business Customer Service

One Business telephone operator put my account on stop, due to a change in the business. I wasn't given the opportunity to explain the situation over the phone or the opportunity to provide supporting evidence at all. I even said that my experience with Lloyd's was good and that this telephone call and lack of any level of customer service would be my reason for issue. Within the hour I went into the local branch, explained the situation to the Branch Bank Manager who unfortunately had no control of the business banking, I closed the account and the Branch Manager apologised for the poor customer service and said they were sorry to loose my business.
