I have banked with Lloyds since I was a child - I am 52 now. 3 years ago I opened an account as I became a sole trader. All good. Last year I opened another account as a Ltd Company... It seems my many years of banking has no bearing on their decisions, not even the fact that on my sole trader account I grossed over £180 000 in one year, this all pails into insignificance when trying to get an overdraft to help with cash flow on my Ltd account. Lloyds 'help' is nothing short of terrible, after all these years of banking with them - I am moving on!!! Reviewed on: 23rd July 2018

Banking OK customer service terrible

Banking services reasonably decent, however their customer service is appalling, long waits for answers to incoming calls and never call back when they say they will, if they actually give you a time. Can't blame the staff, numbers at the bottom have been slashed to pay the top end staff, absolutely ridiculous. Reviewed on: 12th June 2018

Steer Clear

Absolutely terrible. They promise to have the account set up within two weeks. Six weeks later I have an account that I can't access and my card doesn't work. Two different pins have been sent and neither have been able to be unlocked from a Lloyds ATM. My business is being propped up by my personal money and there is no help from LLoyds customer service. I have banked with Lloyds for twenty five years, mortgage, personal account, loans have all been closed or paid off and I'm moving elsewhere. Reviewed on: 8th June 2018

Waste of time

Middle of the road banking

I stick with Lloyds Business Banking because they have good online facilities (particularly as I have a Lloyds personal current account). However, they charge excessively for an overdraft - I cancelled mine - and their business savings rates are scrooge-like. Reviewed on: 9th February 2018

Not 'By your side'

Closing last of our family business accounts after 3 generations banking with Lloyds. All personal contact gone, frustrating to contact, no knowledge of us our our businesses anymore and then, let down badly for the second time when we needed a small loan in the short term. Visited local branch where our accounts are held to explain, out of courtesy, why we are leaving Lloyds. No business manager there any more so I asked the young man on the enquiries desk who I could talk to and explain why we are closing our accounts. He wrote an 0845 number on a piece of paper and showed no concern or interest in why this might be. If I needed further confirmation that I'd made the right decision......... Expensive for what you get

For a small business, this is an expensive option. I now wish I had continued using my current account, as, with my business account, I have to pay over £5 per month for a handful of transactions, the only benefit being the account having my business name. I have also struggled to find an option to go paperless, something which is clearly offered with current accounts. Reviewed on: 11th January 2018
