Middle of the road banking

I stick with Lloyds Business Banking because they have good online facilities (particularly as I have a Lloyds personal current account). However, they charge excessively for an overdraft - I cancelled mine - and their business savings rates are scrooge-like. Reviewed on: 9th February 2018

Not 'By your side'

Closing last of our family business accounts after 3 generations banking with Lloyds. All personal contact gone, frustrating to contact, no knowledge of us our our businesses anymore and then, let down badly for the second time when we needed a small loan in the short term. Visited local branch where our accounts are held to explain, out of courtesy, why we are leaving Lloyds. No business manager there any more so I asked the young man on the enquiries desk who I could talk to and explain why we are closing our accounts. He wrote an 0845 number on a piece of paper and showed no concern or interest in why this might be. If I needed further confirmation that I'd made the right decision......... Expensive for what you get

For a small business, this is an expensive option. I now wish I had continued using my current account, as, with my business account, I have to pay over £5 per month for a handful of transactions, the only benefit being the account having my business name. I have also struggled to find an option to go paperless, something which is clearly offered with current accounts. Reviewed on: 11th January 2018

Good service but a bit behind with technology

I've held a business account with Lloyds bank since the business started in 2003. We've had a lot of account managers over the years - the good ones tend to get promoted but I guess that is part of business life. Generally customer service is pretty good - our account manager and support person are easy to deal with and helpful. The App is pretty good although it would be helpful to have a search facility. My main complaint is that they do not have a direct feed fro Xero accounting software. Xero have one of the market-leading apps and almost every other main UK bank has a feed. This creates more work (and expense) for me and my business. Reviewed on: 13th November 2017

Absolutley crap

Atrocious lines of communication, totally unable to speak to the "right people" and obtain a (time pressured) decision. Lloyds eventually admitted gross errors and offered pathetic compensation. Absolute wankers. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

I have been with Lloyds for over 30 yaers. I have found the business banking to be excellent , and have never had any issues. Only point is the new Lloyds Commercial Online platform, whihc is neither user-friendly, nor intuitive to use. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2017

Charges

A child takes the contents of their money box and gets paid interest. I pay in thousands of pounds electronically and get charged for it! They should have more personal contact, and less charges. Reviewed on: 21st March 2017
