Finally found the best business account

I’ve tried several business bank accounts and Mettle are by far the best. Everything is seamless but the game changer is their tie in with a Free Agent which is the best accounting software for a small limited company like mine. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Simple and easy to use

So quick and easy to set up and app is amazing

after having Fails with cooperative, Tide, Lloyds and RBS finally a Bank (NAT West) that understands an SME requirements. The app is the best i have used so many useful features unlike ones in other Bank apps, at present totally free as well. Here is hoping they keep up the good work Reviewed on: 5th May 2020

No way to receive or make overseas payment s

After going through the sign up process Mettle informs me there is no way to make or receive payments from EU or overseas from their accounts and they have no plans to do so. No IBAN number which is standard on any business account. Very poor. Not a proper bank account. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2020

Super Fussy and Cheery Picking

Says it takes 24hrs, it doesn't takes longer, lots of questions as if they are the military police, in the same time I managed to open another business account much quicker so decided to cancel my application as I just had they feeling they were cherry picky who's worthy enough to be part of their 'Clique', would avoid this one. also not protected by FSA Reviewed on: 17th October 2019

Cherry picking ! lack of customer service, steer CLEAR......

We applied for a Mettle account online and through there App. Everything seemed easy and smooth. Then was told by message that verifying our details and account would be open within a couple of hours. All GOOD. NOT, 3 days, numerous messages to them which were mostly ignored. Then told by Will as Mettle is new they can only on-board a select number of customers onto the app. GREAT so they cherry pick who they want.. if this is how they handle opening a account, STEER very clear and wait for Monzo Business as i hear there nearly there and there current accounts are stunning. It's like Monzo for business banking! A fresh look at SME banking from Natwest that seems to be doing away with all the rubbish, after-thought business banking from the big banks! Reviewed on: 14th January 2019
