BEST FRIEND

Over the last 50 years Nationwide have helped me with a current account, savings and a mortgage; I could not have been happier with their service. Reviewed on: 21st November 2019

Great personal service

Although I do use the Nationwide banking app, I love that I can do my banking at my local branch where I can talk to real people face to face, The staff are so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and it's so nice to see how they go the extra mile for their elderly or less able customers. Mutual bonus

Since my wife and I switched to them we've had £125 each for switching and for the last 2 y3ars they've paid a £100 bonus to members. As they don't have shareholders members benefit from the profits. Reviewed on: 24th May 2024

Could be better

We got the accounts as we have a mortgage with them, however you still can't pay a cheque through the app and its very buggy. It needs to get with the times. Reviewed on: 24th May 2024

Excellent bank account

Moral but largely ineffective

Nationwide have again sent out notification that selected customers will be receiving £100. This is an interesting way for a building society to reward customers, especially as the interest rates are very low to non-existent. Nationwide is trustworthy to my mind, but probably not the right choice for anyone trying to be savvy about money. Their lack of branches near me (in a busy urban area) is a big failing sadly.
