Mutual bonus

Since my wife and I switched to them we've had £125 each for switching and for the last 2 y3ars they've paid a £100 bonus to members. As they don't have shareholders members benefit from the profits. Reviewed on: 24th May 2024

Review of the Barclays, Tracker Rate Mortgage:

Can't get the basics right

Coming to the end of our 5 year fixed rate Mortgage with Barclays. Looking around they offered the best Tracker rate for 2 years and 5 years. As it had a product fee, the 5 year was the obvious choice. So we applied through the Barclays website after logging in. They eventually sent us the paperwork delayed due to postal strikes (Not Barclays fault). However we had applied for 5 year's they sent us the paperwork for 2 years. Eventually after going through the process of contacting them via online chat it took another month for the correct paperwork to arrive. Fortunately we had given ourselves plenty of time before the fixed rate ends. The initial process 5 year's ago was just as bad, in the end they sent us 3 offers of a Mortgage but only sent our legal representative 2 copies. Again more delays taking 6 months for it complete. We nearly lost the house as the Vendor thought it was us dragging it out. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Price went up but still competative

I renewed via phone as I couldn't online for some reason. I got it for £10 more than the previous year even though I had a 10% off voucher. Probably down to an additional medical condition. Reviewed on: 3rd August 2022
