Instant Access Savings

In addition to my current account, I have an M Plus savings account. Both are accessible through the excellent easy to use Ap. Most things can be done using the Ap. The M Plus savings account allows instant access without penalty. It gives over 1.5% return on the first £25000, with 0.75% on anything over that. East to access, use and transfer money. I recommend Virgin Money for service, technology, branch access and wide range of products. Reviewed on: 21st July 2022

They never answer the phone! After receiving an email from them suggesting I set up an M Plus Acct (already have a current account with them so they have my details) but the online form says my phone number is wrong (it isn't) but there is nowhere to change it! I've twice waited over 30 minutes being told "my call will be answered shortly - their definition of "shortly" is very different to mine! Difficult to contact and appalling service

Cheated out of promised incentive, closed account but still owed small amount of money. Chat tells me to phone customer service - took ages to get through but despite promises (twice) still waiting after 3 months. Wouldn't trust at all! Reviewed on: 20th May 2022

Virgin money really do have so many answers for making it so very easy to save and manage your money online, added to good savings rates for instant access savings and a market leading paying Current Account too, well done Virgin Money. Reviewed on: 14th January 2022

Don't Bother!!!

Absolutely appalling app. Blocked my account access for no reason. I had NO access to my money AT ALL & the only way to get access to your money is through this phone app. Not through your computer. There is No other way. Tad behind the times!! Also limited times to call them to Unblock your account.. that they decided to do behind your back. Also when they do Maintenance whenever, they Block your access as well. Same thing with Outages, which has happened to me twice now. Unreal! Once you do get through to them you have to answer at least 5x security questions. Even though when you sign up you have a set ID no: & questions assigned, although they never seemed to get asked! Ever. Except random annoying others & what was your last transaction. Hello how can I answer that when I can not get into my bank account to see it. Instead they want to know everything else & down to your undie size, before they will even bother to help you. When you have been locked out by them & their useless app! It is your money not theirs. Can’t be trusted. This would have to be the most unreliable & frustrating bank I have Ever had the displeasure of banking with. So many problems & in just under 4 weeks since opening & using the Virgin Money app. Save your Sanity, time & money & go Elsewhere! To a reliable bank & with better access & phone service!!! Not as good since CYBG Take over

They must have had the longest bank take over and merger in history! Even when calling the new Virgin Money they would answer Yorkshire Bank! They couldn’t see each other’s banking systems for over a year! Customer Service is nit as good and they got rid of the Manchester VM Lounge. Only decent thing is interest rate on their M account. Don’t make it easy to apply for other account even when you bank with them! I had intended to open an ISA but gave up in the end as they didn’t seem bothered. .. Ashton under Lyne Branch told me to apply online ..even though they could have done it in branch but couldn’t be bothered. The Original Virgin Money valued their customers! The new re-branded CYBG Virgin Money is very disappointing. Reviewed on: 17th April 2021
