Hard to use app

I joined Virgin to get the free wine, most of the bottles were not very good but to be fair there were a couple of excellent wines in there. The app is not very user friendly and the interface is hard to use compared to Nationwide or HSBC for example. Customer service is so-so. all in all, they need to do a lot to improve. Bank treated me with contempt

Terrible bank, staff are highly inexperienced and feel entitled to treat customer accounts with contempt. App is dangerous, constantly blocks payments. Virgin stores are few. If your account gets blocked, forget you ever had any money at Virgin Reviewed on: 19th November 2022

Appalling Service

Completed a form for a chargeback as bought an item online and didn’t receive. Got an email from a customer rep acknowledging received my form asked for additional information waited 7 weeks and not heard a think no replies no update no money. Cannot get my own money

Dreadful Bank. The app blocked my payment. I called customer service and got through after 7 hours. They asked me to take ID to a branch 240 miles away. I couldn’t do it for 3 weeks. Then when I did get there, they froze my account completely. Now I have zero access. Does this bank hate humans? Reviewed on: 11th November 2022

Very bad bank

Virgin staff were extremely rude to me in the local branch. Phone lines for customer service are no better and answered after hours if not cut off. The app routinely blocks payments and then you have to go to branch or call. It takes weeks to resolve. Reviewed on: 9th November 2022

Worst Banking Experience

The app doesn't always work. I have been unable to make payments from my account. The wait times to speak to anyone has never been any less than 40 minutes. The last call I have just had, has left me in tears, I feel so frustrated and patronised. I am currently completely locked out of my business banking, going round in circles with new passwords, after the system is telling me what I have entered is similar to my last, when it simply isn't. Its not the first time I have had issues that have later transpired to be issues with their app!! Reviewed on: 9th November 2022

BAD BANK EVER

I have been with virgin money for three years ,suddenly they close my account without giving me a notice or they called me, as my regular wages were coming into the account ,first they close my app than when I called customer line to check quick balance its automated saying the balance is zero. Than again I called than after one and half hour somebody answered but it still saying I don't have any balance but she was rude and cut my call ,again I called but this time after one hour same other rude answered but she told me go in the bank ,I went the the bank they check my details and they printed the mini statement showing its zero, and its good on same day I received my wages I showed them my pay slip and than the rudest manager came and she called someone in their head office and than after nearly waiting there for 2 hours she told me someone will call me from the bank I went home , i waited for five days than i called back to customer service again that time they told me my wages are there but I need to go back to the bank and withdraw. This bank is wast of time and money ,please close your accounts from them and go to other provider. DON'T SEE THE ONE STAR THERE THINK I HAVE GIVEN 0000000000....ZERO....0000 Reviewed on: 5th October 2022

Need new people at top to run this company

This bank is the worst bank I have dealt with phoned twice today after waiting over 30 minutes this evening and then getting through only to be told my sort code no was dealt with another department unbelievable I was on to the ombudsman this week about another complaint and was told virgin had a back log of complaints no wonder the people at the top should be embarrassed about how this company is run I would suggest the people at the top making big money should do the right thing and empty there desks and leave and let people that know what they are doing run the company you shouldn't need to wait over 30 minutes for a phone to be answered I once thought virgin money was a good bank but not now it's the worst bank I deal with and in my opinion it isn't run properly so that says to me the people at the top need replacing and quickly before they leave I suggest they go and answer the phones for a couple of weeks they may learn how a bank works? a good idea I'd say.
