Helpful when the chips are down

I know The Coop has had bad press recently but they helped me out when i found myself in dire straits, the staff were very helpful, they listened to the trouble i seemed to have got into when my husband became ill and had to give our business up because of it. We found ourselves in a bit of a pickle. The advice we got saved us from the baliffs, and they supported us through the bad financial times, which took the stress off me while caring for my husband. I have been very impressed with this bank in general.

Something fishy going on, co-op will catch it!

I am very careful with my bank details and keep my cards in special little folders so they cannot be scanned without my knowledge, yet despite this my card details were used to try to purchase hundreds of pounds worth of fish in Norway! The co-op suspected something, declined the transaction and blocked the card. A new one was provided quickly and my money was kept safe. very pleased with the actions and with the service I got from co-op personnel ay my local branch. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025

Very good value

Our Coop bank account is very good value, providing travel insurance, RAC membership and phone insurance for just £15/month. However, we don't have the advantage of personal service, as there isn't a local branch. Managing the account online isn't difficult, but we do miss the personal touch. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025
